If they switch to a mode like "head tracking" what are they going to do for all those people who have to look at the keyboard to type? And if mice are going to be extinct, then I'm doubly screwed, because I use a trackball :? For as long as I can remember, games have always been associated with "hand-eye coordination." Now, after all these years, they wanna change it up?! What's next, "hand-head coordination", or "hand-thought coordination?" Just learning to use a mouse/trackball was hard enough.

(note: i had to spell f0rmat with a zero because everytime I spelled it correctly, it would show it as ****)

Recently my computer wouldn't boot into windows. I tried numerous times, and even tried to boot into safe mode and it would just keep rebooting. I tried to fix the problem with Windows Recovery, but that didn't work as well. Where it usually tells you to choose which OS you want to restore, mine would just go strait to a C: prompt. NOT a C:WINDOWS prompt, just C:. I tried typing dir and an error came up saying "an error occurred during directory enumeration." I ran chkdsk /r, and it said the drive may have unrecoverable errors. Tried to do bootcfg/ rebuild, and it wouldn't work because it said it couldn't find windows. I rebooted again with the winxp cd and went through like I was going to install windows. When it showed my partitions, C: was an "unknown partition." All my other partitions were fine. (I have my computer partitioned into C,D,E,F,G drives) I tried to actually reinstall windows, and it wouldn't let me f0rmat the drive. So I go back into DOS and type f0rmat C: and it works. I go back into the setup program partition menu, now it is showing a regular partition. I chose to install it without f0rmating (since I just did it in DOS) So after the grueling task of reinstalling windows, I can go into windows now, yay! Now I notice that the load time for windows and programs is ridiculously slow . I install Comodo Firewall/BOclean, NOD32, Spybot, perfectdisk, Windows Cleanup! and regcleaner pro. I defrag all my drives, cleaned the registry, cleaned all unnecessary files (including prefetch), optimized my memory and my system, disabled unwanted services, ran a spybot check, ran a nod32 system diagnostic, went through msconfig, chose selective startup and unchecked everything, I ran disk check, I even ran bootvis in an attempt to shorten load times.

There are a couple things that I think could be the problem:

1. When my computer was working fine, windows was setup as a FAT32 partition with the label WINDOWS. When I tried to reinstall through the CD and it wouldn't let me f0rmat it, I had to go through DOS. So when I went back into the setup program with the newly formatted drive, I just installed without another format. Now windows is setup as a NTFS drive with no label. (I have since gave it a label on windows through disk management) I don't know if this would cause problem or not, but It something that is different from when my computer was working fine.

2. When I go into device manager, It shows that I have 2 drivers not installed, both of them under "Other devices." One is an ethernet controller, which I don't know what it is because I have my ethernet controller installed, and the other one is an "unknown device" which obviously I don't know what it is. these are the 2 things I can think of that would be causing all these problems.

Is rap as good as it used to be? Hell no. But is some rap still good? Hell yes. I mean seriously I know some of you guys are old enough to party, go out to clubs, ect. What kind of music do you think they play most of the time?

When you go to a College Party or Bar what kind of music are they usually playing?

Face it without Rap your Party life would be virtually non-existant and that's pretty much fact (at least in the states) Its just uniformly accepted music when it comes to going. I mean you're going to have to find some selective parties, clubs, ect that aren't going to play rap music.

Blackbond

...umm, I don't goto clubs. I don't dance, I don't smoke, drink, do any drugs (even my mouthwash is alcohol free) and I don't have promiscuous sex..so rap plays no part in my "party" life. My party life is playing shows, jamming out and hanging out with my friends, and playing PC games. And when I've gone to College parties...rap is not on the menu. So your statement is about as factual as saying Unicorns exist, and the Dinosaurs were around during the Carter Administrations.

wow i only read the first paragraph but that is a horrible analagy

if you are going to use somthing to compare them use somthing that is absolute not opinion based because everyone has different views on music genres

sammysalsa

..opinion based...imagine that...in a system wars forum...If it wasn't for opinions everyone would be playing the same thing, eating the same thing, and listening to the same music.

hes a typical biased rocker what do you expect ? They get there opinions of rap off of BET and radio stations. They see soulja boy and lil wayne as the pinacle of "good rap"

Gh0st_Of_0nyx

I don't watch TV, or listen to the radio. I don't even know what "soulj boy" is. It's not that I'm a biased rocker....i would say it's more that I'm musician. I've been playing drums for over 15 years, and I play music with other musicians. I know what it's like to play a live show and to practice and write songs. I understand rudiments and chords and time signatures. I've seen and played with tons of musicians. Some good, some not so good...but I can relate to them all as musicians.....To see some guy rhyming words together to a beat that loops..or to see people "battle" each other..music is an artform. You should appreciate it and admire it...not turn it into some competitive sport....It kinda kills the whole "music" aspect of it, regardless of how deep or sincere the lyrics are. Some of the best songs I've ever heard are instrumentals. Think of it this way...take 10 people who listen to rap, and take 10 people who listen to rock....which ones are more likely to play an instrument...Maybe the fans of rap and hip hop are so keen on the lyrics, because without them...there's really nothing else to offer. I actually have friends that are all about rap and hip hop, and always bust on me for my music. But whenever I goto a concert, they want to come because, and these are their words, "Rap shows are boring."

Sadly, those not in the know are just very narrow minded about the subject. All they see is popular music. Which makes little sense because if we looked at popuar rock, that genre would suck, too.

TBoogy

...all they see is popular music...Dream Theater, Stratovarius, Opeth, Iced Earth....those are some of the top bands I listen to...good luck finding them on any top 40, on any TV station, you might find some of it at a CD store, and theres a good chance that many of the people that posted in this thread have never heard of them....I only like popular music...no, I only like GOOD music.
