Im going back and be active again in SW!!

Im gone from SW for while, Im barely active right now and there is always some interesting topics created there but even so I always hesitate to be part of because I always think "whatever, there will be someone else who will have the same opinion" or "why waste my time on this topic" so it has been a big meh to me for a while, I lurk there to see whats the news and thats it.

So whats making me return back to SW? you ask.

I just watched some topics today and I thought why don't I participate and write my own opinions, I just want to be part of SW and participate, thats my motivation, I won't get into heated debates even if the topic at hand is a heated one, maybe I'll be part of a heated debate who knows :P , all I want to do now is throw my two cents on subjects, and be a contributing factor on SW and thats it.

So yea I wlll be back.

Why games needs to be like movies...serious talk!!!!

So let me clarify something, there are alot of factors I don't like game developers to borrow from movies BUT there is that one thing I like about movies and I would like to know the real reason behind not following it in games, I know they are two different mediums of entertainment in nature but I want to know why.

What Im trying to say is in this day and age, in this very generation, the gaming industry is becoming very much like the movie industry in alot of ways, the cost of productions are high , the assets of production needs to be high quality and there are similar elements goes into production like in the movies production, aspects like music, surround sound effects, motion capture, voice acting, story..etc are all becoming a necessary these days for games to be successful.

What boggles my mind though is why games always depends on building franchise/brands and after building a franchise the companies stick to it and make sequels after sequels without ever stopping ?

Lets compare the movies to the gaming industry trends, the movie industry doesn't depend on sequels, franchises or brand, it always depends on making new creative and innovative projects, yes they do sequels, yes they build franchises but most of the time they don't, in each and every year we experience new big movies and masterpieces that raises the bar.

In comparison, in every new generation developers just try to build new franchises and go with it for the next 5 to 10 years, some of them even have 20 and 30 years of history behind them, I don't know what is the deal with the gaming industry?

Is it really harder to bring new and fresh IPs? are the developers that much shallow on their minds and creativity?

let me throw some examples just to piss you off.

the biggest of them all is

1

Mario , how many more Mario's do we need? is it really not enough? ask yourself this question.Do you really think Miyamoto can't come up with something better ?

How about bungie? All I know about them is Halo, they made a game and say hey how about stick to it for the next 10 years?

How about kojima? He brought Metal Gear and he can't get enough even after MGS4, WTF?

How about Rockstar and Grand Theft Auto?

How about Gears Of War? Bioshock? Devil May cry? Uncharted? Castlevania? Street fighter? Resident Evil?

You know where am I going with this.

It is not just how many years they have been in the industry, it is also about how many installments they have produced over the years.

Developers and companies are funny too these days, the moment a game gets over 2M sales they decide they want to go trilogy with it.

I don't know why the companies play it so safe?

But I know that people would say.

1- successful gameplay mechanics are hard to produce everytime.

But great developers proved over the years that they could make great gameplay mechanics everytime so it is not that big of a problem.

2- Successful videogames have big demand from the gamers themselves which is great and I love it, I always ask for more from developers and sometimes demand a sequel too.

But that is because the industry made the gamers used to their trends, they want us to ask for sequels instead of new projects from developers.

3- It is hard to sell games as new IPs.

But that is also wrong, again let us ask ourselves this question, how come these so called franchises became one in the first place?

This trend needs to die because it is keeping creative developers from pursuing new and fresh concepts, gameplay mechanics and games from existence, we need more freedom for our creative minds in this industry ( the developers ), they don't need to stick to one franchise because of companies greed and our selfish needs to play the same games over and over again.

Im really pissed off about the immature mentality of our industry.

End of rant.

I just watched this movie earlier today, the movie was released in 2008 and I've just discovered it...what a shame

All I wanted to say to you is you must see this movie, this is one of the best movies I've ever saw in my entire life, thats right and this is by far the best movie I watched this year, nothing comes close.

So go check your local move store, Netflix or where ever you could find this gem of a movie and watch it right NOW.

And whats with the new level up and emblems system?

Thats all, see ya soon.

Long time no see.

I know it's been a long time since I updated my blog so here I am :)

THEME OF THE BLOG.

God Of War 3.

rip

What a game, unbelievable presentation and scale I couldn't even imagine that it will be like this, this game is a must buy for anybody who loves to battle titanic monsters and rip greek gods apart.

The game's graphics are one of the best ever created in a long time, the game picks up literally from the CGI ending of GOW2 and it looks better than the CG ending, the character models are no where to be found this generation, its just ridiculously detailed your jaw will be dropped 1 mile down bounce off and hit you while being closed again.

gameplay is a bit refined so you will not witness much revolution from the previous games but the sound of every hit from the blades and every other weapon is top notch coupled with an amazing hit collision making it the most satisfying for the series.

I'll have to talk about the opening because it is the best in the games history, there is nothing that could touch it right now and I found the ending was amazing and it was really a fitting one.

One downer for the game was the weapons, the game was highly detailed I didn't expect anything less in any aspect of the game but I wish the weapons had their own finishers on enemies, that small detail right here could have changed ALOT, thats the only downer I got from experiencing the game because it didn't make sense when I was attacking enemies with the Cestus and all of a sudden when I do the finisher it changes to the main weapon which is the blade, it would've been more satisfying and believable to see how they made those brutal kills with every other weapon I have in the game.

Just Cause 2.

JC2

This game takes the sandbox genre to a new scale, the game is HUGE, you could literally travel for hours running through the game world so if you want to go from one side of the island to the other side you should consider getting a vehicle, the game is chaotic funny, ridiculous sometimes becomes totally stupid funny.

you can literally hook yourself with anything even the freaking ground if you see yourself running too slow lol, just fire the hook to the ground and see how fast you can travel, there is no gravity rules in this game, anything could happen, you are better than Spider man, James Bond, Ethan Hunt and Jason bourne, combine all these people together and you get Rico from JC2, this is how badass the hero is.

The game has alot of potential and concepts, everytime I play the game I always wish if another game was like this, just imagine this huge world but playing as snake, just imagine the possibilities or how about Final Fantasy's world map as big as that, if Square want to remake FFVII they should get this engine and implement it because it is so seamless, I like it very much, in a matter of fact Im sure Square-enix gonna get this engine for their future projects since they already acquired Eidos and is the publisher of the game too.

Im telling you this game is fire, if it was more focused as a game from missions stand point, it would have been a masterpiece.

Some perfumes for you who smell like a fat pig :P

Boss.

boss

Recently I was out of fragrances so I went to see whats new there, this is the ****, it is my favorite fragrance right now, the moment my current bottle becomes empty Im gonna go and buy a new one, everywhere I go men and women ask me what kind of fragrance you have which is a freaking good thing, i thought it has amazing smell and it really is after the reactions I had with people, the first thing they do before even saying hi is asking me for my fragrance lol, Im always like this, I search alot and choose what I want to use carefully but this thing came out of no where so yea if you want to try something new, try this out.

Play.

a

This was my favorite fragrance before I got my hands on with the Boss limited edition fragrance so if you are not interested in Boss, this is will do too, the same reaction from girls and men ( they are not gay but they are always interested of what attract women so don't get twisted on me :P ) you will get from Givenchy Play and don't take the black, take what Im showing you here it is the better one, well it is what I liked more so maybe you will like the black bottled one I don't know.

Yves saint laurent.

This is also an amazing one especially if you smoke cigarettes, it mixes with it perfectly and gives an amazing smell, even if you are a guy like me who doesn't smoke it gives a really awesome smell, I don't like it as much as the other two but it is also good.

A masterpiece work of art happened, thats what appeared that day, this game was extraordinary and epic in the every sense of the word, it gave birth to a new gameplay mechanic, no more invisible walls, no more just jumping infront of a giant enemy to attack their limbs to win, you can literally climb these gigantic beings and destroy them, the game's art was outstanding and beautiful from graphic design to the original and amazing soundtrack created by Koh Ohtani to the character interaction between him, his lover and his horse.

A genius called Fumito Ueda told the world it doesn't have to take 2000 pages of writing to tell a story, it only takes a good look at how the story is told by the surroundings and how to complement it with the gameplay, this is a throw back to the heart of the gaming industry where gameplay was, is and always will be the most important thing, don't get me wrong me love story driven games :P

So yea thats it...PEACE.

Back from suspension and Heavy Rain.

Im baaaack at last this past week felt so long  I couldn't type in any freaking place in GS :(

I got suspended for a whole week for some stupid thing I said and Im not gonna repeat this mistake again but I thought I was making a point by saying that stupid thing :P anyways I don't regret what I did.

Heavy Rain.

hr

At last and after waiting for a whole 4 years since the first tech demo of the game, I have it :D

This game is beautiful, almost my whole friend list on PSN is playing, this was very surprising since I didn't know COD and sports fans would pick something like Heavy Rain, it's an amazing sign when I see other people are enjoying it like I do, they are constantly asking me about how I went through some scenes and how I did this or which decision I have made about some situations but all I do is either ignore them or telling them play it yourself and see what happens, my other two brothers also bought the game, two of my friends who saw the game yesterday are going to get it today. All I wanted to say that everybody is drooling over Heavy Rain and wowing at the moment.

Heavy Rain puts you in some intense moments and lets the player decide which way they are going to approach it, if the player fails, there is not a retry or gameover screen, the story continues naturally and it really feels personal when this happens, the emotions are surprisingly are spot on, there is that one scene where I screwed up with something and the character's reaction and mine were exactly the same, in that moment I was convinced that this game is a masterpiece.

And OMG at the graphics, there is nothing and I repeat nothing this generation beats the characters face models you could see even the slightest detail in their faces like the pores or how the eye is detailed, the cornea, the redness of the eye can be seen are just some amazing small details, there are tons of animation done to this game, each character walks/runs entirely different and since it has tons of scenes there are tons of motion capture too , the attention to detail is top-notch, when you walk into a mall you will not see the same repeated NPCs, the NPCs are all different, wearing different cloths....etc.

The game is depressing, the game is intense, the game is dark and it's an emotional thriller rollercoaster ride, this is truly an outstanding achievement for David Cage ( the director of the game ), I think thats what he tried to make from Indigo Prophecy/Fahrenheit.

I give the game a solid 9.5 for the moment, the game so far is incredible.

Memorable event of the decade. ( Sep. 26th 2005 )

ip

The later years of the PS2 were the best imho, we had cla$$ic games and Indigo Prophecy is one these games, I remember how much intensity the first moment of the game had, you are in the men toilet inside a diner, a knife in your hand, blood all over the place and there is a dead body in the floor, a cop is coming that wants to take a piss and you have to escape, that introduction was so freaking awesome that made me beat the game in three sessions.

Indigo Prophecy is one of the best games the last decade Quantic Dream have offered.

Thats all for now.

Lawl Mass Effect 2 is all mine!!

For one day earlier this time around though :P

But I won and jg4xchamp lost so there is no excuse :D

me2

Yeah I have the game and OMG Mass Effect 2 is much more improved from the original, there are no hiccups whatsoever so far, the game is running butter smooth, the facial animations are amazing, the graphics are incredible and the music is top notch.

The opening of the game is mind blowing and is way better than the overly boring opening of Mass Effect 1, the story so far is interesting..

The gameplay is amazing, they have improved the cover system, there is a button to take cover at last and the way they have implemented is very smooth, its easy to do and get out and the gunplay is freaking tight, this two factors changes the gameplay ALOT, I love it.

These are my first impressions of the game, I predict a 9.0 easily, I have to explore more to see if this game will get a 9.5 or not, so far so great.

Change of plans.

So on my last blog I was planning to beat FFXIII and darksiders before going into Mass Effect 2 but I have to go to plan B which is.

I won't complete FFXIII for couple of reasons.

 1. To make an even more incentive to play the US version to see the ending of the game.
 2. Im not wasting my time on upgrades and leveling up on the japanese version so Im gonna dedicate myself for the US version.

I will complete Darksiders between Mass Effect 2 sessions and if I feel like not playing darkseiders, I might beat it after Mass Effect 2.

me1

I remember not liking this game when it was released, I didnt get all the hype surrounding it, I bought into the hype but when I played the first Mass Effect, I was not getting what it wanted me to experience and the first few hours were really boring and there were alot of other games that I wanted to play at the time so I said screw the game, let me go and beat Uncharted, Assassins Creed and other games.

So in 2008 there wasn't any game that I wanted to buy and I beat all of the games so I said how about giving it another try?

So I gave it another try, played it until I took control of the Normandy then BOOM the game turned 180 degrees from boring to epic, from that moment I didn't play any game until I beat it, thats how awesome it was, there were some flaws on the game like frame rate issues and bugs, the side quest planets to visit were pretty empty and there was not much to explore but the base that game set from primary missions, side missions, explorable worlds to discover, riding the mako, the amazing dialogue system to the whole universe that Biowaretook care of to explain every detail in it was extraordinary.

People are acting too smart they became so dumb.

Theme of the blog.

I feel like some people here and on real life are so full of themselves that they can't tell a straight answer or have a normal conversation, they are always asking and pretending they are smart, thinking about the rhetorical about everything, even the most clear questions or common conversations is becoming quite hard for them to talk about.

You are overdoing it idiots, Im gonna punch you in the face the next time you act like this to wake you up a little bit and make you realize how dumb your questions throwing at people's faces are.

Where did the straight honest answer with real discussion go?

I mean someone says do you prefer Wrpgs or Jrpgs?

The freaking rhetorical freak posts something like this.

"What kind of Wrpgs do you mean? what kind of Jrpgs? what am I supposed to talk about exactly?"

Another guy says, everybody knows about Eminem.

The smart guy doesn't talk about Eminem, he talks about the word "everybody" and goes completely off topic to prove that he/she is the winner.

They just want to challenge people, they just want to debate for the sake of debate even if it means meaningless ****.

GTFO, seriously, GTFO and breathe some fresh air then come back to me .I just don't know how anybody could bare living with such humans, they need a bullet in the head.

Darksiders.

where is the THQ logo?

This game is great, I just played for few hours and it was great, I chose the apocalyptic difficulty ( hard ) and it was freaking impossible, normal enemies are killing me, the exploration is great, the story so far is amazing and I love the watcher he is so crazy, the combat is not good but it works, it just feels like there is no weight to it.and some of the moves are awful to perform.

All in all I love it, its good, i have to beat this game and FFXIII ASAP before Mass Effect 2 comes out so see ya.

The attack.

1

I woke up that day afternoon and I remember my brother telling me that terrorists attacked the world trade center in America and I was a bit surprised but I thought it was quite meh to me at the beginning , i saw the twin towers in movies but I didn't know it was called the world trade center so I thought it was on a small building like most of the other terrorists attacks in the world, I didn't know the details so I went downstairs to see what is happening in the news and I was shocked, it was really terrifying to see such huge buildings on fire knowing that thousands of people are inside it, however I was calm since I was confident everybody will be out before the whole building burn especially the lower floors of the buildings since the attacks were upper side of the building, it was really sad to see people were jumping from the building trying to escape the fire, then the shocking moment happened, the whole towers collapsed, it was a day to remember forever.

You are a freaking reviewer, you are not a hardcore gamer!!

THEME OF THE BLOG.

I know everybody is going to say here comes the elitist stuff again we all hear about everyday from people, I don't know about you but hardcore is the easiest term to describe for anybody and get what you are saying to people's head quicker then the long explanation, but this is not the issue I will talk about.

Are specific-games hardcore gamers that jealous of people like me or what the heck?

Some people I know in real life are constantly saying that to my face whenever there is some gaming talk and I say my opinion on some games or the game industry, they tell me that Im a reviewer because I buy every hot game out there without even beating it just to say my opinion on things and I was LMAO everytime they say these things but this time I confronted them about it and squashed them.

Because the guy kept proving how Im not a hardcore gamer this time around, I mean WTF is wrong ?

they told me that I didn't beat alot of games and to prove it someone said to me that i didn't even open Demon's Souls lol.

I admitted that I bought Demon's Souls and I didn't play it but that is one game and I don't have the time for it right now.

He told me that I didn't finish Halo 3, which is wrong.

He told me that I didn't finish Gears 2 which is also wrong.

Same thing for Resistance 2, uncharted 2, Tekken 6, Halo 3 : ODST and I was like are you F***** kidding me?

I beat all of those games so ***** OFF and go play your sports games that doesn't get GOTY ever so the guy tells me that these games are annually released thats why they don't get nominated because the improvements are not as big as the other genres and I told him that i don't care but keep spinning for your sports games.

He told me that he is more hardcore than me and I was like WTF?!! :|....

I told him that you and your freaking douchbag setting next to you can't talk since all you play are sports games and COD every freaking year then he told me at least we know every bit of the games we play since we play them all year long, we are more hardcore than you since we concentrate on few games while you can't concentrate one one or few games.

So yeah he was testing my hardcoreness, I told him there is a difference between being hardcore and being as sick as you, you need therapy lol, going all year long 24/7 Madden and PES.

I told him this is my hobby, I love it and I was always like this from the SNES era, I think you are forgetting how many games I bought over the years, being hardcore to the hobby is being dedicated to the hobby, knowing the history of industry, open minded for every genre, buying every goddamn hot game out there because I enjoy great looking games and not because I want to throw my opinions on them, sure I will talk alot about the games I like or dislike but that doesn't mean Im reviewing the thing, I told him I actually hate reviewing games and I get them to have fun, to enjoy.

Then the other guy told me, and how about the dedication? I remember you were dedicated to games in the past, I mean I have one thing Im special on and that is the sports genre, how about you? you seem that you are not pro in a specific genre?

I was face-palming at that moment, they keep trying and I keep humiliating them.

Everybody knows the answer by now for the last questions by now, but for your own entertainment, I will tell you what I said.

Fighters, RPGs, Racing and Action are my territories, come and get some there if you want, how about a round of Tekken 6, SF4, MGS4 getting stealth camo ( not even the hardest challenge ) or how about a GT5p match?

How about looking at my PSN profile and see my Platinum on Tekken 6? Do you remember how many hours I dedicated myself playing in each GT installment?

End Of Story.

So yeah what Im trying to say is that was really a great experience for me because when I thought about the whole conversation retrospectively, I didn't change as time passed for the last decade and thats a good sign.

So I want to ask you the same question, do you feel like you are a freaking reviewer? :P

Memorable Event Of The Decade (Oct 24, 2002).

suikoden

Suikoden 3.

Suikoden series is one of the best series that is so dear to me, 3 for the PS2 was one of the finest RPGs ever in gaming, it was the first 3D debut for the series, it had all of the ingredients for what made Suikoden series so popular and amazing, the 108 characters, the combat system ( which was really refined ) with the dual characters attacks, the strategy epic battles were there and the badass looking characters and Foes with amazing story were also part of Suikoden 3, the game was the best in the series.

And the opening of the game is one of the best openings ever created.

So yeah this was a memorable part for me of the last decade.

See ya..PEACE.

Happy New Year!!

Happy New Year, sorry for the belated congrats on me but I was busy but I promise you the next blog will be worth the wait :D

I wish all the best for you guys and a better more enjoyable year :)

Final Fantay XIII....RPG of the generation.

Theme of the blog.

All I can say is wow...this game will get a 10 here, mark my words, bookmark this blog and remember this day :P

What can I say, as always Square delivered on the graphics to make it the best, this game looks better than Uncharted 2, yup, this is the best looking game I've ever played on consoles.

The characters looks so detailed its unbelievable, alot of times it becomes hard to distinguish if it is CG or not in the cutscenes, thats how much of a graphical powerhouse FFXIII is.

There is no freaking install and there is no loading at all so far, the game runs butter smooth and seamless from running around in areas to engaging in battle to running through cutscenes to navigating through the menu screen , that is alone incredible so don't worry PS3 owners, this game is not downgraded at all from a technical standpoint, in a matter of fact, Square did a better job than all of the first party developers including Naughty Dog, the game feels so crisp and vibrant and the animation of the characters are of the best in the industry.

Characters are at last different than the past awkward looking from FFX and FFXII, they are all great to look at, however there is an exception still :P a boy called Hope haha.

The new upgrade system is similar to the grid system in FFXII, it is called
Crystalium
There are alot of other stuff to talk about but Im gonna put it in short so your wait can't be more painful :P

Back to playing some more :D
