both, LuckyLy, and avataar, if you play on hard, i highly doubt it took you one shot to take down those rays. hell, on Hard that part is pretty difficult to get past. and once you figure out Rex's pattern, he's cake. and that boss battle was only hard cause MGS1 didn't have dodge rolling. it would've been a lot easier to escape those missiles of death.
and whether you like it or not, Raiden is a BAMF. he killed Solidus, who is genetically equal to Snake; so yeah. GUNpoint_
Solidus is Genetically equal to Old big boss. Old Snake and Solidus can only do what they do because of their suit
um, buddy, Solidus, Liquid, and Snake are clones from Big Boss, i'm sure you're aware of this. so Solidus and Snake are the same on a genetic level; and yes, i know Solidus' suit gives him his powers, but doesn't that also make him an even tougher opponent then Solid Snake? and Raiden was still able to kill him, mega suit of death and all? Not true, then I can also say with snakes new Suit in MGS4 he is alot! stonger than he ever was in previous games. which i doubt. Its the same with Solidus, he probably needed that suit to actually be comparable in strength to the rest, not just for a boost. just my 2 cents :P
does Snake use robotic tentacles and increase his muscle mass in MGS4? i highly doubt it. and Solidus is NOT a super saiyan/Dr. octopus love child.
also, just because your Old, doesn't mean you can't put up a good fight. take a look at Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake. without the suit, he'd probably have the same skills as snake, who knows. and i haven't read anything that snake's suit in MGS4 is 'keeping him alive'. the injection he took in one of the trailers is probably whats keeping him alive. or he's a heroine addict.
and there is no strength in the MGS universe. only technique. Big Boss is probably a lot stronger then the Boss. but who broke who's arm? Solidus just wanted an advantage in combat. Im going to have to look up the article to confirm but it stated how the sneaking suit issued to snake in MGS4 does help his muscles out. I dont want to speculate on exactly how, but i do think it has something maybe to do with his deteriorating strength/stamina.
