And that cpu cooler isnt worth it get this. made for i7, looks nice with an LED fan on it, nickel plated. Silent, tall cool.somegtalover

Not exactly sure why I should go with this fan when the other one seemed fine, and also for around half the price. Maybe I'm overlooking something.

Hmm. Well, now I'm really torn in between what to do. Part of me wants to save money, while the other part wants the SSD really badly. From all the reviews I've read, it's great, and I know that I won't be using up a ton of room in terms of memory, so I don't think the 160GB will be an issue. Also, if that ever does become a problem, I can always add a hard drive. Maybe if a few other people could give some input it would make this decision easier.

Well, if your not planning on overclocking, then the stock heatsink (that comes with the CPU) will be fine from a temperature standpoint, but there are quieter options if that is a concern.Roggirek

Sorry about that Roggirek. I was already in the middle of posting my build when you gave that answer. I'll probably remove the fan from the list seeing as I'm not planning on overclocking anything.

Nevermind that last question, I just threw in a CPU fan for $20.

And, well, this should be my final build. Hopefully I'll be able to order everything by tomorrow morning, or even tonight. Sorry in advance for all the links. Hopefully this will be the last time I'm posting all this.

Okay, lastly, and I know I've asked about this before, but because the case I'm getting comes with two fans already built into it, is it necessary for me to buy another heatsink/fan? And, if I do, do I get a heatsink or a fan? One which will be used to cool down the CPU or one which will be used to cool down the GPU?

Okay, I don't think I'm going to be switching my PSU. One change I did make, however, was the SSD. Upgraded it to the 160GB version of the one I had so that I won't have to worry about storage room. Yeah, it costs more, but I'm pretty sure it'll be worth it.

For everyone who posted that I should switch over to a modular PSU, how exactly does it differ from regualr ones/the one I already have? If it is only an issue of how complicated it is going to be to hook up, then I think I'll stick with the TruePower that I have now. Also, just to make sure, Windows 7 is the best way to go right?

Everything looks good there. If you change your motherboard to the X58A-UD3R though, you would be able to fit in a 500gb HDD in with the savings. That way you don't have to worry about space since you only have an 80GB SSD in there. And as for cooling fans, adding a 200mm Megaflow case fan to the side of that HAF 922 would help cool that video card.

Oh, and don't forget about adding in an operating system to that build. You will need one if you plan on using it at all :P

I'm considering getting the cheaper mobo and the extra HDD, but then wouldn't that defeat the purpose of getting an SSD altogether?

Okay guys, I think I'm ready to post my build. Other than a potential addition of cooling fans (not sure if I need any), and a minor motherboard switch, I'm all set. Here it is:

Keep in mind that this isn't my final build, so I'm open to more feedback.

Along with that choice of motherboards, I have picked out these memory units.

They can be triple-channeled and the price isn't too bad. If anyone has any better suggestions my ears are open.
