I've never really played a Mario Party game, but I was looking foward to playing this game through wifi since most Nintendo games have been supporting Wifi, even adventure games like Zelda has Wifi now, but my question is, how long does a mario party game last?
From what I've heard, its a board game and a single game is pretty long and because people disconnect all the time while playing through wifi, Nintendo may have opted not to include wifi because of this. Which I guess makes sense because all of the current wifi games that I know of, or short and fast.
Anyways, there are too many good DS games toplay to worryabout one that didn't make the cut.
[QUOTE="HappyProzak"]I keep the Wii at her place as something for us to do and we only have wii sports at the moment. What gameor games would be good to play with her? I'm a gamer, but she isn't. She wants a game we can both play and that would be accessible to her. I'm thinking of Mario Strikers, can this game be played online with two players on a single wii? Meaning her and me are on the same team and we can go online and challenege another person?
Also, mario party 8 interests me some. I've never played a mario party game for more than an hour so the series would be new to me. Is this good for two people to play together? Or do you really need 4 people to really enjoy it?
She saw the game Boogie and she wanted that but it seems they had a good idea and didn't excute it well so I've written that off, anything else I should look into?

yes you can play strikers online with two people and play another two people
Another party game would be Warioware smooth moves and rayman raving rabbids but rayman is harder than warioware imo
Hey thanks for the response, I was considering warioware smooth moves but I was a bit confused because one review I read said that the multiplayer element isn't particularly strong and that you have to unlock it. I'll have to look at a few more reviews for both of these games, but thanks for the recommendations.

I have mixed feelings about this. On one side, I don't think gamespot scores games harshly, instead I think other sites score games too liberally. A 9+ score on gamespot is more special than a 9+ score from anywhere else. Also, I think people just like to see their favorite games get high score because they personally like the game, or because they want the game to be great. But what people seem to ignore is that an 8 score means the game is great.
As for Final Fantasy Tactics I think a 8.0 for a remake is reasonable. What I don't like is that the 8.0 score only applies to people who have played the game before. If you haven't played the game before, then I bet it deserves more of a 9.0 score because it really is an incredible game. Everyone will only see the 8.0 score so because of that, if they aren't familiar with how great of a game FFT is, then they will probably miss out on it. But really, this isn't something that you can help because the game is a remake so its justifiable to lower its score because of that.
Also, GS is a bit biased with portables in general, meaning the psp and the nds. They are usually very late with reviews which implies handheld gamers should go to the back of the bus, and as a handheld only gamer I object!(Does Phoenix Wright pose)
Anyways, GS has been accused of being biased against nintendo, microsoft, and sony. I don't think they are biased against them, its just that they aren't as liberal with their scores.
Thankyou, I'm one of the few that is excited to see if this game is good. There are a few of us who are eagerly anticipating this game. Theres only been one review so far and the reviewer really bashed the game despite claiming to having enjoyed the game on the consoles. He may just be jaded from having played this game too much though.
I have to say the game looked extremely impressive to me on this video though. It really felt like you were swining in new york as spiderman. My one my concern is that the reviewer claimed the controls were terrible and that swinging spiderman around is difficult, and I couldn't help but notice that this seemed to be the case in this video.
I still have hope though.
