The truth is that cartridges are expensive, that's why you don't see any ds "greatest hits". Once the price of cartridges takes a serious drop, then we'll see greatests hits titles. It's the same story with the GBA, the price of the cartridge was prohibitive in releasing greatests hits titles.

The PSP runs on the UMD which is cheap to manufacturer, so greatest hits titles was an easy decision to make.

Well I love the lineup as well. But I don't think its the new home for arcade action. Xbox live has had galaxies wars for a while, and I'm not sure but I think they have a metal slug compilation too. They also have ikuragu(sp?) coming out for xbox live.

I think what is happening though, is that portable gaming is turning into the home for old school gaming. The PSP has ultimate ghouls and goblins, the metal slug complication, 2x mega man games, and the upcoming dracula x chronicles. And the DS now has contra 4 coming out.

So if you want to play new old school games, handhelds are the way to go it seems. I'm glad too because I love old school games and right now even though I do have the money, I can't bring myself to spend 1500+ for an hdtv and nex gen console.

I'd like to see Metal Gear Solid 1+2+3 remade for the psp. Yeah I know, this is nothing but a dream. The best I can hope for is that they release MGS1 for the emulator, that's definately a possibility.

Ok games I would like to see remade

Warhawk! The original PSone game, remake it for the PSP pretty please Sony.

*edit*

After thinking about it some more and looking at some top Psone game lists, I think its fair to say that the PSone has a richhistory of games that Sony can tap into. We've already seen some series like wipeout, twisted metal, and syphone filter. We are also now getting a final fantasy game. PSP gaming looks good right now.

I don't have any consoles, just my gba, ds, and psp. So I'm looking foward to this game, but I don't have my hopes up...too high. I know ign.com had an interview with the game makers and apparently they figured out a way to stream new york city so I'm guessing they are trying to make it an open environment like the consoles, at least to some degree. This was a few months ago and Vicarious(sp?) said they weren't ready to show the game just yet. So I'm left wondering if they are trying to surprise us with a great handheld game or if this game is being so rushed that screenshots weren't available a short while ago.

Anyways, I'm waiting with my figners crossed.

*edit*

I just rechecked the release date and it's supposed to come out in about three weeks, October 16th. I thought I checked a few weeks back and it was due at the end of the month, so either my memory fails me or this game got pushed to come out earlier which should mean the game is just about ready and the information on this game is almost non-existant.

Seems strange doesn't it?

Then head to AVSforum if you want to see which exact model is the best.X360PS3AMD05

The problem at the avs forums is that there aren't enough gamers so something like input lag isn't really considered a whole lot unfortunately.

Hmmm I listened to it again but I don't find it it to be particularly great, it's good but in my opinion its not great. I don't find the melody to be very memorable.

I know Sony and Samsung make good panels, but there are several different models with different features. And contrast ratio is just one of the basic things manufacturers like to talk about when talking about specs but its a lot more complicated than that.

Problems like motion blur, ghosting, and input lag. So does anyone know what the best 32" lcd tv for gaming is? I know that Sharp makes the GP1U which has very low input lag, but I hear complaints that the motion blur is unacceptable. So with all he complaints I hear it leaves me feeling like not gettig an hdtv.

So what tv's is evryone here using? and are you happy with its gaming performane?

Everyone complains because there is no good fps's for the psp. But i think the the orginal DOOM would fit it just fine. Think about it you wouldnt have to look up or down, so there would be no clunky controls. Alls they would have to do is add adhoc maybe even infrastructure, and then it would be a great psp FPS. We need to contact ID and see if they would do it if we got pettions or something. But the people who use there psp and dont downgrade (like myself) need doom or quake, For it because they are perfect for the psp. anyways just something to think about.

hottittiz

The gameplay for Doom is old. By today standards it wouldn't be fun, sorry. FPS were made to be played with a keyboard and mouse. On a dual analog controller they were ok, so you can't expect them to play that great on a psp given the controls. The nintendo's ds touch screen actually works really well for FPS though, but it has a hard time handling the graphics. I think you have to give up on the idea of fps working well on the psp.

That depends upon who's reviewing the game. But I'll just read IGN's review like always and feel better about the game's I buy.

My guess is 9.2

DeliriumGlo

You need a review to tell you how much you should enjoy a game? That's pretty sad. I use reviews to tell me whether a game is worth my time and money, most of the time I agree, but not always. The first Psone game I bought got terrible reviews but its still one of my all time favorite games, crazy huh? Maybe its because it was my first ps game, I don't know. But I played games like Grand Theft Auto III that got raving reviews and that game sucked the big one. It got hyped to death because it was the first of its kind to combine open city freedom+ludicrous amounts of violence but that doesn't excuse the poor game mechanics.

It's sad but game reviewers are subject to hype and will give a highly hyped game a higher score than it would have got if it wasn't hyped.
