COD is a great choice, it offers such great replay value and is very well supported by the Devs. It's hated everywhere on the internet yet has the biggest community, I wonder why?

[QUOTE="robokill"]My only complaint, is that in Demon's Souls (only one I played ) is that after battling your way up to a boss you have to watch the boss movie intro every time. Battle 5 minutes, 3 minute movie, fight boss for 5. Repeating that and watching the same video over and over is infuriating.mitu123

They got rid of that in Dark Souls.

Wow, wtf are you talking about? There is only a cut scene introducing the boss the first time you encounter it in Demon's Souls. Dark Souls has a few that replay, at least one that I know is Gaping Dragon. I can't recall any in Demon's Souls.

I stopped reading when you mentioned "cheap". NOTHING is cheap in Demon's Souls or Dark Souls. Difficult yes, but cheap, hell no!! Keep in mind I have a platinum in Demon's Souls and 50% trophies in Dark Souls during 1 playthrough. I know these games..they are not cheap.

I second this statement

Why MGS4 and Heavy Rain are called "movies" yet Mass Effect series are not? I swear, I spent more time talking in that game than actually playing it (and no, choosing dialogue options is not what I consider "gameplay")

Yea I think branching dialogue choices on the screen is so tacky, it looks cheesy and half the time the script could've been better written. I only deal with it in Fallout or Skyrim because you can kill everyone. It's also a reason why I enjoy Dark Souls, FromSoftware does a good job with character dialogue.

[QUOTE="Pikminmaniac"]

After playing Uncharted 2 last year, I discovered that that series is not for me. It was as if it was designed to go against what I enjoy in gaming. Definitely not my cup of tea.

The two that stood above everything else last year was Rayman Origins and Batman Arkham City. They were both brilliant in every way. A couple of the most well designed and polished games you'll find all gen.

Pikminmaniac

Arkham city polished like Uncharted 2 or 3?? Um, yea, Arkham City has screen tearing so just no...

Uncharted 2 more polished than Arkham City?? Um, yeah, no... In my first playthrough of that game, I hade a melee fight that ended with us standing on thin air, I was standing half in the ground when two "yeti" monsters attacked me in the ice cave, There is a glitch in one of the last chapters that has you flailing like a madman if you try to melee a guy walking up the stairs towards you (happens every single time.. try it. It's the part where the blue monsters are attacking Lazaravich's men), and there was a point where one of the blue creatures was walking on thin air for 3 minutes... I had no screen tearing in my PS3 version of Arkham City...

from my experience, Arkham City is far more polished than Uncharted 2 as well as being far more ambitious.

Yea, you might want to head on over to Lens of Truth and look up Arkham City, it has screen tearing on both 360 and PS3. Not a ton, but it's certainly there. That equals an unpolished game.
