Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't it impossible to get 1080p resolution from component cables? Don't you have to be connected via HDMI to get that resolution?

My TV will not do 1080p, so I can't test that theory first hand, but seems like I remember reading that somewhere. I mean, my LCD automatically adjusts to the output of the device currently accessing it. Like if I have my 360 set to 720p and my PS3 set to 1080i...then my TV automatically adjusts to each setting accordingly.

So maybe your TV is setting itself to 1080i because you are connected to it via the component cables. Just a thought.

I had a ****** wireless router once. It wasn't the model that you have listed here. Anyways, the ****** router I had was junk. It died after about 6 months use. I have since replaced it with a Linksys WRT54G wireless router and it seems to be working pretty good. I have had it it now for almost a year with no problems. And, your wireless router IS your access point, so the router is all you need to purchase. You should be able to pick any wireless-G router up ata decent price, since wireless-N sales are starting to pick up. A year ago, I purchesed the Linksys for $49.Be warned though, there are a lot of threads on this forum with people complaining about the PSN network being really slow over wireless networks, and I tend to agree. My router isn't too far from my PS3 so I could run a cable to it, but I haven't yet. Sometime I am gonna switch to a wired connection to see if it makes any difference.Hope this helps.

I find it hard to get excited about any sports games. 2K Sports used to have the right idea when they were bringing them in at 19.99. I mean, I don't mind paying high dollar for sequels that come out every two or three years, but every single year....come on, it's all a money racket.

Not even Wally World will give cash back for opened games. You can thank modding and piracy for that.

I have the same issue. When I am on Xbox live, no problems (and I have a great connection) It's the Playstation network. I hope Warhawk works great considering I have it preorderd. people complain about having to complain about xbox live, but it's worth it. That why the Ps3 network sucks (it's free) I wish they would charge it would get alot faster and a better connection rate. Plus you would get better dowloadable cotent. By the way, make sure you have no security password on and update your firmware. Make sure you do it correctly or your router will be worthless. Hopefully these issues will be adressed in the future. Remember, you get what you pay for.tbombrocks

I really don't think whether or not ya pay for it has anything to do with the speed. I think there are several things that might improve wireless speeds. Possible firmware updates for the router, maybe some software upgrades by Sony for the wireless adapter used by the PS3, or possibly tweaking their servers (if people hardwired to their routers experience the same slow speeds). Again, I have never tried mine wired, so I am not sure if this is just a wireless issue only.

I have heard that if you hardwire to your router, your speeds will improve. But I have yet to try it. You are right though. My wireless connection is super slow also. I have a Linksys WRT54G wireless router and have no problems with speed on all my other devices. My router is just above my PS3, so I know it have to have good signal strength.

Alundra

And Dragon Warrior VII...took me over a 100 hours to finally get mad at the thing and quit...I may pick it back up again someday.

Kinda wish I had beaten Final Fantasy V on my own and not by downloading a game save. That is the only Final Fantasy game that i didn't beat on my own...well, except for Final Fantasy X-2 (currently playing) and Final Fantasy XII (will play after finishing X-2).
