Ive been trying that but I think it only works on xp, plus I cant seem to get it to work.bachilders
Hmm, I thought the poster in that said it would work for Vista. Try contacting him/her if you can and see if they can help you out a bit. It's a long shot, but worth it at this point. Since Linksys doesn't seem to have a date for when this will come through (only TBD).
Do you think the free version of avast is good? Or should i buy it?

I've got the free version and have had it for a good 10 months or so. No problems with it and doesn't seem to eat up too much memory. I had Norton and AVG in the past and Avast has done the job as well as them.
That's what someone else told me is that integrated video cards are crap. Could you explain why please?
I'm not to sure if I can, I'll search on Sony's website or call the support line.

Essentially, it's because it has to use up the CPU for processing graphics as well as regular CPU tasks. When playing graphics intense games, this will kill your PC. If you have a separate graphics card, it eases the burden off the CPU and puts all graphics processing tasks on the separate card.
Intel GMA 950 or an Intel GMA 945. It lists both of thoseesb1118
So, unless I'm reading that wrong, you have integrated graphics. That's your problem right there. Any chance you could upgrade the graphics card of your laptop? Some let you and some don't, not sure about the Vaio's.
Yes, because my computer is pretty fast but when it comes to playing certain games like CS Source it doesn't fully run smoothly, although it is good but could be better. I have some minor technical issues with Grim Fandango and Neverhood is unplayable and just goes at 4 fps but I asked GeekSquad and they said it could just be because it's not compatible with Vista. Plus I'm adding a 1gb stick of RAM to the 2gb I have. Oh and is my CPU at 1.66 ghz or is it x2?esb1118
It's 1.66. Dual-core doesn't essentially double your MHZ.
What type of graphics card do you have in that laptop?
Also keep in mind that if you are going to SLI, watch your temps. Especially if you've got some PCI cards sandwiched between them. I had an SLI rig (2 7600 GT's) with my sound card and wireless card in between and the temps rose a bit.
EDIT: I have an ASUS mobo, so I'm not sure if all SLI motherboards are designed the same way (2 PCI-E slots with PCI slots in between).
Start->Run. Type "cmd", then when the command prompt comes up, just type NETSTAT. (run now, see what comes up, then run again [new command prompt] as a video is playing on youtube/break and compare)
This may not be helpful for you, but you may notice some funky connections going on. Google NETSTAT a bit more to get some more info.
