It is kind of funny that the 360's line is going to be "just wait". It took about a year and a half for PS3 to really start getting good games, but now that they have come, they just keep coming and coming with no end in sight. Now that Halo 3 is here and gone and Gears as well, it appears MS has blown their wad. I think many people will find the "just wait" comments doing an about face from PS3 to 360. The fanboys will be claiming poetic justice.

Who knows though, maybe MS will announce something at E3, although I doubt it. They don't really seem to be in the business of making new IPs. All they seem to care about at the moment is buying exclusive rights to DLC of third party games. I prefer Sony's method of actually making or having a large hand in making new IPs like Uncharted, Resistance, LBP--and perfecting the greats like GoWIII, GT5, and KZ2. Thats my opinion anyways.

Do not buy a monster brand HDMI cable. They are going to run you around a $100 and they perform the same as an $8 HDMI cable. You can get a version 1.3 (sometimes referred to as category 2) HDMI cable from www.monoprice.com or www.mycablemart.com.

[QUOTE="Liquid_Essence"]Gamefly is a pretty good service. My brother and I have been using it for about 4 years now and we have never had a problem with it. The games come in great condition and you can rent up to like three games at a time I believe. Its really worth the price. I recommend getting it. Especially since games are expensive and everything is rising in prices these daysdigitalman42
Well you know the games like Little Big Planet that have 70+ hours of gameplay, ill buy those. But I was thinking using gamefly for games like Ratchet and Clank and Uncharted that can be finished in well under 10 hours.

What is awesome about gamefly is that you can purchase the game from them. Games like Uncharted, GTA4, Rainbow Six that I knew I was going to buy, I just rented them they day they came out and then clikced on the "keep it" button. Gamefly charged me like $45 to keep it and then they would ship me the game case. This way I usually would buy a game for around $45 and have the membership for the month of unlimted rentals for around $17. So it cost me $62 a month to purchase a new game (from them) and have the serice for a month--which is about the same as it would cost me to just buy one game a month.

Gamefly does have its cons, like if you don't get a new release on day one--you usually have to wait months before it is availabe. And the turn around from sending one game back and getting the new one some times would take a whole week or more.

For those who played MGS4/Gears Of War/Uncharted etc. wouldnt you want the control scheme in those gamesin RE5? Like someone said, Re4/5 are action oriented than RE games in the past so would think a new control scheme will fit

If you move and shoot at the same time it takes away the strategic aspect of the game.

If you could move and shoot the game would be a hell of a lot easier.

I am sorry that I stongly disagree. I think that this is a cop out that staunch fans of the series are using to defend it. No matter how you cut it, the controls are clunky, frustrating, garbage. Here is an idea, just add more zombies. This way I can move a person that feels like a person and not a school bus, and it would be just as scary and difficult with a swath of zombies coming after you.

Stop complaining already. I didn't see any of these worthless threads about re4 ever and it was one of the highest rated games. It adds suspense and makes you more aware in your game. This game is a really good game regardless but just stop complaining about it. Too many new children in the new era. They got addicted to dead space crap and want it in re5. Well too damn bad deal with it. balla4162

Well I am far from a kid and I think it sucks.

RE1 and 2 were amazing and very scary. Once 4 came out, it lost all of its fear that the other ones caused. RE4 really turned more into an action game. Now I loved RE4 just as much as eveyone else, but I wanted it to be more scary. That is one complaint I have about RE5 is that it probably won't be any scarier than 4.

Of course no one complained about the controls of RE4--because they were fantastic at that point in time. However, that was like 4 or 5 years ago. Could you imagine what everyone would have thought if MGS4 would have came out with the same controls in MGS2? Everyone would have been livid. When that much time passes you expect progress, innovation, better controls, etc. THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR RE5 TO BE USING THE SAME CONTROL SCHEME.

And don't give me that suspense crap--Dead Space was one of the scariest games that I have ever played, and you could walk and shoot. It just makes for a better game. Do you know why? It is because it makes the game more believable and immerses you into at a deeper level. We are in a new generation and we should not have to be using clunky control schemes from past generations. Those control schemes cut the muster back in the day (because that is what the hardware was capable of), but in a day in this age of advanced hardware--it just does not cut it.

I will still be buying RE5, but I really feel that it is going to be a disappointment. It was my most antictipated game for the year, and after the demo--it has dropped to like 5th or 6th. I really hope it still turns out to be awesome, but I think in the end it is going to be RE4 with a fresh coat of paint and co-op (which is cool), but I was expecting so much more from this beloved franchise.

While I love Street fighter (best 2d fighter of all time) and tekken (best 3d fighter of all time)--I have never owned one. I always rent them as they get really old really fast. I am usually tired of them within a week.

Buy the component cables! I bought component cables back in the PS2 days for my Sony 27 inch wega CRT tv. The differnce in colors and sharpness was night and day. I remember playing a Medal of Honor game. You know the parts before the mission where you had to read text in a notebook?

Well, the component cables made the lettering look so sharp and clean that it looked like I was reading from a book and not a tv. Then when the level loaded the colors were so much more brilliant. This all carried over to watching DVDs as well.

My sig says it all.

In 2006 PS3 was expected by all to be #1 this gen, ven before it launched.

Now its #3. If it were to catch up to 360 in the distant future...........wouldnt that be celebrating mediocraty since PS3 was expected to perform much better origionally?

As for 360..........Xbox shared a 30% market share with the Gamecube. Now both the Wii and 360 have excelled beyond expectations and both increased market share. Both are all ready considered a success.

To me it sounds like you are getting ready for something. It sounds like you know or strongly think that the PS3 will be passing the 360 in the not so distant future and you are creating a preemptive strike. Personally, none of this matters. The only thing that matters is that you are happy with your console of choice. Do you think it made me happy that PS2 had most of the market share last gen? Hell no, I was happy due to great games. Just like I am happy with great games for my PS3 this gen.

What cracks me up is that the PS3 could have never lived up to the PS2--so it was doomed from the get go in fanboy eyes. The PS2 was a jugernaut, an anomile if you will. They pretty much owned the entire generation in terms of sales. That never has happened before and most likely will never happen again. So to expect the PS3 to follow in the PS2 footsteps is just foolish. Now some people may say the Wii is going to do it this gen, but as a gamer--it does not count. It is going after a non-gamer market. There are all of about 2 games that that system has the interests me as a gamer.

lol, the PS1 dominated like the PS2 did so it's not an anomaly. I consider the PS3 a failure unless it recaptures the top market share which I dont think it will. If you're first and dont finish first in the next gen, that's failure. The Giants won the superbowl last year, this year they won the division had homefield advantage and lost, you think they consider this year a success?

The PS1 did dominate, but nothing like the PS2 did. Would you still consider the PS3 a success if it was in first place by one percent instead of the PS2 being in 1st place by something like 35%? That is my point, it was never going to keep the same market share that the PS2 had. Sure as of now, the PS3 slipped from the top, but such is life. No one stays on top forever. Is it a failure? Hell no, so far it has been my favorite system going back to the NES days. And don't jump the gun thinking this generation is over. I would be surprised if by the end it was not at number 2, due to no one catching the Wii and the ultra casual market.

Your a person on boths sides of the fence. How can someone disagree/agree with you? Make a point an stick with that one point.

I apologize if my point was not clear. My point is that it would be an accomplishment and that this fanboy is just getting ready for damage control. However, the underlying point is that WHO CARES. None of this matters, as long as your system has games that you enjoy.
