This is just appalling.For a game that looks like stuff from the 2002 era, it sure does perform bad on modern PCs. Yes it's beta but still this game should be easily getting over 300 fps with that sort of graphics. http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/star-wars-gaming-tests-review,3087-7.html I know I am probably going to get the usual stuff like, there is a lot more "stuff" going on in SW compared to crysis...HA! Who are you kidding? Talk about trying to force PC gamers to upgrade. 35fps @ 1920*1080 with 4xAA

Old and lets nott forget that AMD lied about Bulldozer yields. This will be possible in about 10-15 years time but probably not today...

Trust me, it makes the game look significantly better. They cleaned up the cesspool that bethesda made. I am glad that there is the modding community on the PC side. They fix up most of the crap that the developer is too lazy to put any effort in. However, this is just a start. There will be bigger texture packs coming in that's for sure.

[QUOTE="Hydra1234"]Thank god for the modding community and I would like to thank those who contributed to the modding of skyrim. They made the game look definitely better. Let me tell you the game before mods felt like crap was upscaled from 720p. Dear god the game and it's hideous looking colors and textures. deangallop

[QUOTE="RyviusARC"][QUOTE="Hydra1234"] Nope you are basing your judgement on ONE THING. If it wasn't one thing then not having high end graphics wouldn't stop you from playing the game. So stop lying.

[QUOTE="RyviusARC"][QUOTE="Hydra1234"] My expectation as mentioned above have increased. Quality both aesthetics and quality of gameplay are important for me. I view gaming as a whole package and won't buy it if one is being compromised. And No...I don't view it on one thing, I view it on storyline/gameplay/sound AND graphics. Is it wrong to view gaming as one big entertainment package?

You can enjoy your blocky textures but every year I expect everything to become closure to realism...My expectation of everything increases. There is nothing wrong with that. After all I am paying money for the thing.

[QUOTE="RyviusARC"][QUOTE="Hydra1234"][QUOTE="RyviusARC"] No I am not some shallow minded fool./QUOTE] Yes your are. You judge a game based on one thing..... The game is fun and entertaining and that is the purpose of a video game....to entertain. Hell I still play games from the PS1 era and I record my gameplay too. Like Parasite Eve 2. And Albert Odyssey.

[QUOTE="wis3boi"][QUOTE="Hydra1234"][QUOTE="RyviusARC"]PC gets a great MMORPG exclusive SWTOR. Which is like Knights of the Old Republic but in an MMORPG. Or for those who don't know of that it's kind of like Mass Effect for dialogue.

2002 called.Those graphics look like ps2 graphics...No thanks. You guys can enjoy paying for muliplayer...

sorry, but when you have 10,000+ people on a server at once, you have to make compromises. Or stop trolling

Have you seen the requirements for this game? It's a graphics card that doesn't even exist anymore. 7800gtx. That's freaking 6 years old. And FYI I am not trolling, I am just stating my opinion. Just because I have a difference of opinion to yours doesn't make me a "troll".

Processor: AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 4000 or better / Intel Core 2 Duo Processor 2.0 Ghz or better Memory: At least 1.5 GB RAM for XP / 2 GB or better for Windows Vista/7 Graphics: ATI XT1800 or better / NVIDIA 7800 or better / Intel 4100 or better. 256 MB minimum video RAM, shader 3.0 or better fully compatible graphics card. OS: Windows XP / Vista / Windows 7 DVD-ROM: 8x or better

Here are the requirements....Don't give me that number of players excuse because it's not going to work.

Graphics don't matter as much when the actual game is fun. You never played the game so you wouldn't know. Graphic settings are not even maxed in beta. Also show me a 2002 PS2 game that looks that good and is this large. Not some corridor shooter.

So it's okay for the gtx480 to go to waste? This game seems hardly challenging to the latest graphics card. Unlike most people, I like games with good graphics AND gameplay. If one is left out I won't touch it. No I am not some shallow minded fool. I view gaming as an entertainment tool and my expectations have dramatically increased over the years(quality wise). When you are playing an RPG like Old republic, visuals ARE Important. It's like watching a movie on bluray vs watching a movie on youtube. The experience is quite different. Also,I've tried a lot of indie titles on steam and bought them on steam, they are fun for about 5 minutes until I delete them...

[QUOTE="nismo8000"]

[QUOTE="lundy86_4"]

3 vs 1 isn't $300 for the consoles and $2000 for the PC.

It's $650 for the consoles vs a similarly priced PC that will outperform it.

DarthBilf

My PC cost $650 in march and it destroys all of the consoles put together. Here is the build:

Phenom 2be 955

6850

8gb ram

500gb 7200rpm hdd

razer naga

razer nostromo

connected to a 46" TV=rape sauce

all three consoles at launch would run you $1275. the tc is clearly touched in the head.

And I'm sure that build would only run you $650 in 2006, right?

It can...but it will match against console settings which is what you guys get.
