[QUOTE="Ninja-Hippo"]It still plays like Halo, not call of duty. It's a combat game, not duck hunt. So if you've never liked halo, don't buy it.Download_Me...and? I don't understand whats so great about Halo and yes, I own a 360. I mean come on, shooting someone four times in the head with a battle rifle to kill them (12 bullets total)? WTF!? It gets repetitive so quickly and then when you get close to eachother you run at eachother like idiots while spraying your AR/BR and then you melee and die at the same time. Come on Bungie... So basically you are horrible at shooters and the only way to get kills is if you get lucky and since you can't get lucky in a game that requires more than a few bullets to kill someone...you hate it.

Story doesn't make a game generic. Specifically in shooters anyway. There's nothing about killzone's universe that stands out. It's basically wwii in the future...how boring is that? How boring is playing WWII games? Very. That's why I consider it quite generic because there are so many WWII games.[QUOTE="IAMSERIAL"][QUOTE="xYamatox"]
Well, you just did, and based on the game's alone, both are pretty pathetic story-wise. However, both have good outside sources to provide a decent story, but because they arn't present in the acyual game, they become irrelevent.

Yeah, and I see generic sci-fi atmosphere boring. Does that make my opinion fact? Not at all. WW2 in the future may have been done before, but it's a lot less frequent than an Alien race trying to whipe out mankind (see, I can summerize a story to sound lame, too!).
WWII is still WWII it's generic trash anyway you want to put it. It's a lot more generic then what you think Halo is actually about. Killzone is void of identity, it doesn't have one. The series will always be remembered for trying to kill halo and fail at it. There's really nothing else worth remembering about Killzone. There's nothing fun about the game, the animations are too slow...too much animations. It's not even a game. It's like you're not even controlling anything.[QUOTE="IAMSERIAL"][QUOTE="GamingZuru"]Is that a joke? Do you have any idea how many people still play CS? or WoW? Or a ton of other old ass games?GamingZuruSo you agree with me that Halo is the much better and satisfying game while KZ is just irrelevant in the fps world. No. I agree that Halo is a stale outdated generic FPS that doesn't come anywhere near KZ's modern marvel. Halo is infact irrelevant everywhere but for that Xbox fanbase, but that's because they really don't have anything else. THe only competition is what COd? And even Cod beats Halo. Halo's xbox popularity is due the systems weakness in the games department. Oh yeah and Killzone is relevant to everyone huh? Yeah right, Killzone is the joke of the fps genre, nobody respects it outside of bunch of PS3 fanboys...even ps3 fanboys don't like the game. You last sentence makes absolutely no sense at all. I expect KZ3 to be the last in the series, it will be the last attempt to kill halo and it will fail miserably again.
[QUOTE="IAMSERIAL"][QUOTE="GamingZuru"]Mistyped ODST. I still had OSDT in my mind while typing everything. To hard to piece that together?GamingZuruIf Halo 3 is so outdated then why are there still hundred of thousands of people online playing everyday and why is KZ2 the advanced fps such a desert? Is that a joke? I never said anything about Killzone being generic but it's a lot closer to it than Halo is.[QUOTE="IAMSERIAL"][QUOTE="xYamatox"]
In that same regard, there's no video game lke Killzone, and you know it. Doesn't make either of our arguements any more valid.

It just happened to suck because Halo is outdated. Everything about Halo is generic, the graphics and artstyle, the generic guns and simplistic gameplay. The story. The music even though honestly isn't anything special is the only non generic part of Halo. And I can't get past the annoying input lag Halo has. GamingZuruI never said Halo 3 is an expansion. Reading comprehension bro. Nothing you listed makes it generic, you really have very poor arguments. What are you a bandodger or something?Mistyped ODST. [QUOTE="IAMSERIAL"][QUOTE="GamingZuru"]Sorry Halo fans, Halo 3 isn't 1/10th the game KZ2 is, and nothing shown so far makes Reach come anywhere close to KZ2 let alone KZ3. Halo 3 is a slow uninspired, stuck in the past generic FPS. KZ is a modern masterpiece. KZ2 won BEST COMPETITIVE MP. ODST Wasn't even nominated and barely scraped a AA score by the press. GamingZuruLol nice argument. Tell me what is generic about Halo? You can't. ODST was just an expansion so good comparison. If you want to compare then let's compare Halo 3 to KZ2. Even though H3 was released 2 years before, it's still more advanced than KZ2 in every possible way in multiplayer. How was Halo 3 an expansion, it was a full fully priced retail game. There's nothing generic about Halo and it's always the people who have something against it make that argument yet they can't back it up. There's not a single game out there that is like Halo and you know it.[QUOTE="IAMSERIAL"][QUOTE="xYamatox"]
Halo's story and Universe made it VERY cliche for me. It's basic sci-fi setting. I worked in a book prcessing plant for a few years, and we would get art books for art colleges all the time, and everything that's in Halo has been done before, only 10x better. Heck, even the Ring-World idea was already done many years ago.
Now, I'm not saying Killzone is any less generic when it comes to it's universe, but no one is trying to say it's original in any way.
