That's a pretty sharp line of what you believe quality is; either it's a high-quality game (AAA),or it's garbage (AA or less).Perhaps too sharp.There can't be anything in between?Tell me,if a game scores an 8.9 and is priced $60,is it garbage,since it isn't AAA?VGobbsesser

If you actually read my post, you would have seen the "or at least 8.5" part. I occasionally do dip to the dregs with an 8.5, but not much. $60 is a lot of money.

I am not going to lie- I would rather read about a mega-hyped game flopping on a system that I dislike (which has happened a lot in the past year and half), than watch an exciting Superbowl or NBA championship. I would rather read the fanboy fallout from such a flop on places like system wars, the crying, the utter disbelief, the account suicides- I love it. It's nonstop entertainment.

Likewise, I love seeing enemy fanboys cry when a game on my console gets a stellar score (which also happens a lot), and the damage control that I see the enemy fanboys trying to do. Video game reviews are my life- I live and breath the scores they give out. I literally have trouble sleeping the night before a big review comes out.

I also love the emotions that I personally feel when a game I am anticipating doesn't score as well as I hoped or expected. I have actually cried over a low-scoring game review before, of a game that I couldn't wait to play.

They also help me with my gaming choices. I mean, who in their right mind would buy a non-AAA game for $60 (or at worst an 8.5)?

Thank you, Gamespot, IGN, Game Informer, Game Trailers, etc. You make my life complete.

Vectah_Sigma

All of this came about because Ninja Gaiden 2 flopped? Get a Life.....4real

why the H8? and i am not getting NG2 because it flopped end of story

Seriously ?

You are taking this wayyy too seriously.

Indeed.

The TC's post is a perfect description of what's wrong with gamers today. Less worried about the real world and how fun the games actually are than coming into a forum like this and acting a fool.

But his post is System Wars, and most of it's users. (only a select few aren't brain dead)

People are so deep into System Wars and the whole flop/hype/AAAe/AAe/ BS that they actually think he's serious. For someone who is not caught up in all the System Wars BS, they should easily see he's just mocking it. Instead, this thread is full of failures and really nobody has caught onto it.

I can only feel pity for the topic creator.cutmaclass1

Why? I am happy (especially on days like the Haze review day), and I date chicks. You have nothing to pity me about. ;)

Wow. Other male men whining about a bad video game score is equal to a "really hot girl begging you to call her".

Simply, wow.

I'm still baffled, but I'm afraid to ask anymore questions.

thrones

He's just imagining how it would feel like to have hot chicks ask him out. :|

Hot chicks have asked me out on SEVERAL occasions.

I can't believe I am not getting more understanding here. Different people have different interests and opinions. I just like to see enemy fanboys get PWN3D with flopping reviews. What's wrong with that?

[QUOTE="dabear"]There are a lot of games that have scores far lower than 8.5 in my game library. You have to take into account *why* it scored what it did. For instance, I have had a ton of fun playing ShadowRun and Chromehounds for the 360, both scored low in GS.dabear

If you are cool with playing trash, then I guess that is your own business. I, on the other hand, like to only play the best available.

Also, I love fanboy responses when a game flops. On the Haze review day, the floppage and resulting fanboy damage control made it one of the best days of my life. I had an inner glee and feeling of satisfaction that I have never felt before. I hear that the Lair review day was even better- too bad I was not posting here back then for that.

You do know that a game that scores 7 in GS is called "Good", right?

That's just the politically correct way to rate a game in a way that is not insulting to the game company. In reality, a game that scores a 7 should instead be called "Crap"

Why? What enjoyment do you get?

In the words of Triumph the insult comic dog - "Have you ever talked to a woman without giving your credit card number?"

It's the same feeling of satisfaction as when you get a really hot girl's phone number, who begs you to call her. You feel like you are on top of the world, and are glowing on the inside. Same feeling.

And for your second question, please refer to my moniker name. =)

I cant even imagine how much of a failure at life you are

Oh and you go by reviews eh?? Not gonna buy NG2???

Silly lem

-hells-

Why the H8?

And no, NG2 got crappy toilet reviews, and I will not be purchasing it. 8.0 on gamespot lol. I'll just stick with NGB, that I play a lot on my 360 and I bought for $15. It didn't get a 8.0

You haven't been here too long TC, so I was wondering did you just start gaming or have you just used other websites reviews up until now?

Here's the reason why I'm asking. Because different sites give different scores. You don't take anything under 8.5. Well, here are two examples for you:

Kingdom Hearts: Gamespot - 8.2IGN - 9

Kingdom Hearts 2: Gamesot - 8.7IGN - 7.6

KH is one of my favorite series and some of my favorite games and to stop playing them because they don't get above an 8.5 is absurd. Of course, I can assume that you as an actual person are just doing this to see what people say cause I guess you find it funny, but whatever if you are doing that or aren't doing that.

Zassimick

I look at a combination of review sites to make a decision. But for a game like KH, I'll just be safe and wait until I find it in the bargain bin for $5. ;)
