Its very simple. Nintendo went for casuals with the Wii at the expense of core gamers. Casuals arent repeat buyers, core gamers are. They are the ones who care about new graphics and the next console. Grandma X and Grandoa Y dont really care about graphics, they are perfectly fine with their Wii. The people who upgrade consoles are core gamers, and Nintendo told them to screw off so.....they did.
