Wind Waker was better than TP imo because all the themes fit so well together. if they want to make a realistic Zelda (as they tried in TP), they might as well go all the way so you can get into the game more by being immersed in itHonestly as far as Zelda is concerned I prefer deaths like the puff-of-smoke explosive deaths in The Wind Waker to gore and flying limbs.

Yeah, but wii motionplus doesn't enhance gameplay unless if this kind of stuff were implemented. tell me what's the difference between tp and the next zelda if the next zelda cuts more accurately but doesn't do anything visually to show that. besides, nintendo likes to surprise and this would be a big surprise. zeldas not gonna be m for mature because its cool or anything. it might be because they have to, since it enhances gameplay in certain ways.[QUOTE="IQ138"][QUOTE="NeonNinja"]
It won't happen. While fans enjoyed the darker edge of Twilight Princess it still featured the same kind of fanciful exploring and Zelda "magic" that everyone wanted (and enjoyed). Making it more like God of War or Ninja Gaiden where the limbs fly off, etc, just isn't what this series is about. Expert dungeons and puzzle solving are where it shines. I wouldn't mind a bit of blood (the gold version of Ocarina of Time has it) but to go absolutely overboard just to earn an M rating is a terrible, terrible idea.

It's not about what it visually shows, its how it plays out in the dynamic of a fight. Currently, most enemies you just lock onto and hit and that's that, save for a few that might have a big glaring weak point. More accurate sword hits means more strategic fights. More opportunities for complex enemy blocking; hit an enemy on the arm to disarm; hit an enemy in the leg to make them flinch; much more specific and narrow weak points, etc. You don't need any gore or actual limbs falling off to accomplish any of that. Chances are we'll have the traditional spark of light come out of hits rather than blood, and hell maybe even some body parts might fall off some monsters but it certainly doesn't have to be gratuitously violent or gory.
yeah, i don't think they'll make it gory more than its necessary. but i think it'll really take advantage of the wii's graphic capabilities and may even make you think twice before killing someone in the game because of the added realism. i think it could enhance gameplay by making you sympathize with your enemies which would deviate away from the normal good versus evil theme of zelda that i've gotten tired of.Yeah, but wii motionplus doesn't enhance gameplay unless if this kind of stuff were implemented. tell me what's the difference between tp and the next zelda if the next zelda cuts more accurately but doesn't do anything visually to show that. besides, nintendo likes to surprise and this would be a big surprise. zeldas not gonna be m for mature because its cool or anything. it might be because they have to, since it enhances gameplay in certain ways.It won't happen. [QUOTE="Meinhard1"]There is no way Nintendo would release an M rated Zelda game, it would have to much of an impact on sales.gamefan67This right here. And it will definitely scare off the casual crowd. that's a good point, actually. i know they said something about catering to both the hardcore and the casual. nevertheless, it's still a possibility :p
Well, I'm talking about ESRB wise, not whether if you think it's more mature or not. I tend to think that by making such transition, it'll make gamers get into the battle more because its more realistic and it intensifies the game in so many ways.A Zelda that specifically featured gore and limb-cutting for the "fun factor" wouldn't be more mature - it would be less. Significantly less.

How does having sex/gore/cursing enhance gameplay? Cutting off someone's arm to make them drop their weapons or cuting off tentacles of a monster WOULD enhance gamplay.I don't see that happening ever, and that's the way I would like it to stay. Zelda doesn't need blood or gore or cursing or sex to be good...
........well, it doesn't need blood, gore, or cursing anyways...

Nah, it's not a rumor but given the premises that there's Wii Motionplus control, I think its not a too far off possibility. Imagine precision cutting where Link is able to cut off an enemy's arms before he finishes them by cutting off their heads. I think it would make more sense to implement it since it takes advantage of Motionplus more greatly and I would love for it to happen. Though Nintendo is usually known for their reservedness, if they were to surprise us at E3 this would be it. What do you think, can there be a new Zelda that is more mature?
NES... I never did beat Ninja Gaiden:cry:
For me, Zelda TP was so depressing because it kept on reminding me of OOT and how similar it is to it.
