To me the winner is the console with the best games and to judge that in system wars we use Gamespot's AA and AAA rated games. Whoever has the most in 5 years will be the winner IMO. Of course my personal winner is the most important and that won't rely on how much anyone besides myself enjoys the consoles.
Was anyone expecting a Final Fantasy game on the 360? They would not only have to compete with Mass Effect and Fable 2 but Lost Odyssey and Blue Dragon as well. Square would be hard pressed to sell enough copies to make it worth their while.
Well, if they said clearly the PS3 is on the stronger side which they want to work with, we can expect one of two things if it comes out for both platforms:
1. Released on the same time, downgrading the PS3 version, or:
2. The 360 version released later, to try and squeeze more out of it to get close to the PS3 product.
Hopefully it will be either exclusive or option number 2, because no one wants so play a watered-down version, on any console.

Why would the PS3 version need to be downgraded if it's on the 360. Most hardware experts say the 360 is as powerful if not more powerful than the PS3 and games so far support this. If disc size is the issue than RE5 would not be the first in the series to ship on multiple discs.
They are going to have to have to completely re-do their engine like EA did for the 360 version of FIFA 07 if they want to keep up with FIFA. I have FIFA 07 on my 360 and PES6 on my PC and having the ball tied to the player feel so dated after playing FIFA 07 for a long period of time.
If they can polish the graphics and physics engine used in FIFA 07 for the 360 and include all the teams and modes you expect from the series it will be the best FIFA game created for sure.
