The US market is the most important. Any company that can win there would have a good chance of winning the console war. Last gen it was the PS2 but this gen it's up for graps. Europe and Japan are important but if you look at games sales the US is by far the most important market. If you think I'm being America-centric I'm not even American. Look at the numbers.

1. 360 is dead in japan gogeta242

The majority of game sales are in the US and Europe. Even with a series like Final Fantasy 60% of sales are in these territories. For games like DMC and MGS it's more like 80%. For the most part developer don't care where they get their money from. They will always go with what gives them the maximium sales potential if it doesn't limit the design of their game or hurt the release on other platforms that will also give them good returns.

I care about Final Fantasy and Tekken but I could not care less about the others.

This thread fails, simply because whatever the PS3 install base migt be when FF13 arrives, 360 one will be about same or far more as things go now, so LOGIC says, why sell 1 million copies, when you can clearly easilly sell 2 millions or MORE instead ?

gogeta242

Then why didn't Halo go multiplat, Kotor, or how about Ninja Gaiden, how about other 3rd party xbox 1 exclusives. huh. how come those didn't come to ps2, a console that has sold more than 360 can dream of and its successor could come close to. Tell me market analyst. You fail buddy.

The PS2 would not have been able to handle any of those games and Halo was a 1st party title. The PS3 and 360 are similar in performace and you can develop games for both without having to modify the engine or overall design too much.

The 360 had the advantage of an early launch. So it had time to fix any of it's problems. The PS3 does not have this luxury. Also if there are no rumors people don't usually think the game will go multiplat and you must admit that the majority of games that there have been rumors about have gone multiplat. People said VF5 would never go multiplat despite the rumors and the same was said about DMC 4. So people are starting to take the rumors more seriously now.

I smell a Ridge Racer 6/7. TekkenMaster606

The difference there is the PS3 wasn't out when RR6 was released. With AC6 there is no reason not to release it on both systems at the same time.

I don't see why it would be but it is coming to 360 for sure and I'm gad of that. I hope both AC6 and Tekken 6 are multiplat because it would mean more money for Namco and bigger development budgets for these games.

[QUOTE="freek_brothers"]heh When I do oblivion gate it take me 2-4 min just to get through now since my guy kills with 1 or 2 hitsuseLOGIC

kyarite it takes you longer than 2-4 min.. .sorry buster.

not the actual quest just doing an oblivion gate

ya i know... 120 - 240 seconds? i still doubt it.

So do i. Even if there were no load times and you knew exactly where to go you couldn't walk through most Oblivion gates in that time.

[QUOTE="foxhound_fox"]No sidequests?

Um... 8-10 hours...
-RPGamer-

No way. I'm going through the main quest and not doing any side quests. I have clocked 24 hours so far.

Depends on your character design. An alchemist/fighter will plow through the game with heavy hitting poisoned attacks compared to a most character types.

Well I'm sure you could complete the game quicker but it's my first time through and I'm not doing a speed trial or anything. I don't go invisible to avoid fights or anything like that. I'm just enjoying the game and going at a pace that's fun for me.

If the PS3 version doesn't have AA on a SDTV the 360 version would look best? At HD resolution it probably wouldn't matter much.
