do you know when part 4 came out ? beginning of last gen son, and the new ones got worse every time. so no it was no longer a "major exclusive". even check the sales of 5 and zero for yourself they went down also with every game drastically.It's one of the better selling PS2 games no matter how you try to spin it. Ace Combat 4 was the best in the series and the first in the series on last generation hardware. I predict the first game in the series this generation will be just as good. It's true that they released too many sequals too fast but that doesn't take anything away from Ace Combat 4.
you failed right when you started with "i predict " your logic is making no sense. so because part 4 was the best of last gen part 7 will be cus its the first of this gen ? did you know 3 was the best the gen before ? its like this 4>3>2>5>1>0 . 4 was awesome cus it had an amazing story and great gameplay /graphics, they cant change gameplay and graphics arent looking that much better TBO, and they have tried to duplicate the story but it has gotten so bad and jumbled in 5 and 0 it is just sad. i think the guy that worked on part 4 left after that cus it just wasnt the same game anymore and the story made absolutely no sense.Yes it's a prediction. Next gen hardware capabilities will give it advantages that no game in the series has had before it and there is a good chance it will have online multiplayer. Also I think you will find the first game on the PS1 was also the best seller that generation. However they have it listed as Ace Combat in this list for some reason, my copy is called Air Combat *shrugs*
