FPS. Last time I played one I was in university... four years ago.

I am assuming this is any game that could possibly be made haha. So some of these may be a BIT wild im not sure.

I'll keep this sentence to heart while writing the following "titles":
- Breath of Fire 6
- Final Fantasy 15 (A proper old school FF, on the lines of 6 to 9).
- Landstalker 2
- Mobile Suit Saga 2 (With HD consoles they might make some cool looking mecha, and not the chibi ones they had in "A New Dawn").
- Onimusha 4 (No, I don't count "Dawn of Dreams" at all...).
- Resident Evil 6 (Back to zombie killing roots).
- Shining Force 4 (A proper Turn Based Strategy).
- Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 3 (No MMO please, a proper single player RPG game).
- Suikoden 6
- Tenchu (Make it a good stealth ninja game).
- The Legend of Dragoon 2
- Vagrant Story 2
- Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines 2
- Xenogears 2
Please, can you all stop buying the Assassin's Creed franchise, because Ubisoft is starting to milk the living excrement out of the franchise.
Sorry, can't do that, I'll buy AC Brotherhood, and after that AC3, AC4, etc. What can I say? I like the franchise, and couldn't care less for yet another shooter (Even if its a Rainbow Six one...).
I don't know about you guys but I really want Ubisoft to start working on a new Rainbow Six. Its been a couple of years since we've seen a new Rainbow Six, and with Assassin's Creed blocking the way, it will never happen.
I'm pretty sure that Ubisoft might have more than one developement team...
Besides... lets not forget who the real champion was before COD4 became so overrated... Thats right, RAINBOW SIX VEGAS
Hate to say it, but we already have a shooter game overload in the market...

[QUOTE="Lionheart08"]
[QUOTE="millerlight89"] Catered it to console gamers. Which is a fact. lawlessx
I liked how the first one was, so obviously it wasn't catered to me even though I'm a console gamer. :?
it's weird, but Miller is right. Bioware said they are catering the game for the console crowd since DAO did sold better on the consoles.
I still fail to see the their logic. If it sold well on the consoles, this means that people actually enjoyed the game the way it was, so why change it so drastically? It sold well because there is a legion of RPG players on the consoles that avidly buy any RPG released nowadays (there are so few this generation...). IF they kept to the RPG formula it would still sell well, even more so now since the IP made a name for itself.
It's more like they're trying to catter a whole new crowd on the consoles, orphaning the RPG players once again.
I personally will wait and see how the PC version plays (and if my PC can run it). If it's more of the same on the PC I'll buy it, but surelly I don't want this byzarre mix of "DMC and Dinasty Warriors" that I'm seeying up till now.
There have been many zombie movies as well.
Actually both zombies and vampires are popular in both video games and movies.

And don't forget books and graphic novels, there are some out there too...
Edit: Whats the point of this topic in System Wars? Shouldn't it be in "general games discussion" or something like that?
I played all 13 FF iterations, and in my sincerest opinion the 13th is by far the worst of all.
Square-Enix devoted too much time onto refining the graphics...
- Control of all your team, making for a more profound and strategical aproach to combat? Removed. You can control the main character and hope that the AI don't screw the other two member's attacks and support.
- Grand, exciting world to explore, full of sidequests to have fun? Removed. You can walk a straight line from beginning to the end, and if you're trully persistend, maybe in the endgame we'll let you do some exploring (on Pulse, of all places, yeah, cool).
- Likeable characters with which you can relate and care. Removed. You can have Vanille...
- Shops, where you can buy and sell itens. Unnecessary! You can buy and sell at computer terminals that float around all the places, which magically creates the item you wish before you, even in the barren deserts of crystal of a dying world where no human beings exist! How cooler can shopping be in videogames?
I was intending to keeping on the list of let-downs, but I'll leave it at that for now.
As far as RPGs go, I preferred Dragon Age Origins much more this year (Yes, a generic, bland W-RPG is better than FF13 imo). If you open the possibilities for "best game" and noy "best RPG", well... FF 13 shouldn'even be considered.

I agree with most of the post, really, I'd only change the Gamecube period as "adaptation" instead, as Nintendo was desperately trying to adapt itself to the CD technology that was introduced by SONY (something that's Nintendo's own fault btw).
Anyway, they catered a new share of the market, some current generation of casuals (both kids and elder but otherwise unninterested in gaming people) can now be groomed into more hardcore experience also (much like everyone who now calls himself a "hardcore gamer" was once a bright-eyed kid playing Super Mario 3...).
As long as they develope the hardware and keep a balance on the release of casual and hardcore titles, Nintendo cannot go wrong with their new console.
This topic just made me remember that I have that triple pack for the PC (Old news is old...). Now I'll have to intall The Sands of Time and play it again... :)
