Well after the huge boost of console sale sfrom this holiday MS will have a bigger userbase and a AAA title to kick start 2008. Although if MGS 4 doesnt get delayed it will mostlikely lose its thunder to the much more popular GTA.

They dont invade earth till Halo 3 and besides the reasoning isint just to take the planet they could care less its to find the Halos and Ark and stop any non believersn their way. Halo has an excellent story but you seem unintrested to even give it a chance as everyone knows that pretty much 99% of everything is just a rehash of something else but its how its presented that makes something different.

oh yeah ps3 is just barely competiting with M$ and after the fall its gonna be all over. If MS last till 2008 then they will be barely hanging on.

Its gonna take more than a $50 price drop to sell those xbox 360. M$ would of been smart to have said a $100 price drop but even that wouldn't have been enough. Its going to take a $100 price drop and free online play. M$ just can't hang with sony.

By the M$, Sony is wooping your @** with a console that cost $150 more in the near future and not too mention we don't have any games.

Wow ignorance at its best, except if you missed the past year, you would know PS3 is selling worse than the GBA, and its 07 line up has alot to be desired. Simply put Sony will have their behinds handed to them this fall. Till MGS4 comes out PS3s will be collecting dust on shelves. I am not being a fanboy but everyone knows MS has pretty much hands down won fall 2007. 2008 will be the year SOny might finally get back on track the question is will the PS3 gain enought momentum in 2008 to sell 7-9 million more the 360. If not the PS3 will still be trailing the 360 going into 2009. I think Sony planned to far ahead this generation, aiming at 5 years down the road while in the present the very slow start is costing them software exclusives and tremendous amounts of sales because of the price. A $400 PS3 would have been much better. If only Sony decided to concentrate on gaming instead of pushing their disc format. Sony dropped the ball this gen, even if they win it will be by mere millions unlike the PS2 domination. No matter how you look at it Sony has been dethroned and the fight to see who can grasp the largest chunk of the fallen empire has begun.

I realize what you are saying but what I am more worried about is stuff like adding extra characters to accomodate say 4 player co-op, I just hope that Sony doesnt try to push features that change gameplay from its original greatness

yeah theres always a fear of sumthing like that happening. I just hope they make a good game so i have another FPS/Shooter to play on consoles other than Halo beacause I have already abused Gears and I cant stand to play one more MP match in that game.

True I can only hope that Gears 2 will at the very least stop the excessive amounts of glitches, cheats etc in that game.

And to make a Halo ripoff would only hurt them, They will prolly go down the more tactical cover orientated gameplay unlike the more Run and Gun Halo style because they know that were they to face Halo face to face on a level playing field, Halo would crush them. Am I the only one that kind of feel sorry for Geurilla Games, I mean now that Sony has purchased them and made Killzone their attempt to counter Halo their work must be very aggrivating. I am not saying that its true but I can imagine that Sony will want to counter pretty much every feature of Halo 3 such as the 4 player coop. I just hope that Sony doesnt pressure them into adding to many Halo features. Every game creator I imagine has a kind of vision of what kind of game they are developing and how they want to develop it, do you think Sony will change killzone to match Halo instead of letting it evolve as it should and allow itself to be an amazing game by itself, I mean the dev has graphics down, if they can keep up the amazing work the PS3 might actually get a game I want thats not on the 360.

I laught at you sir, Halo although just a FPS to some it has managed to build a community system that goes unrivalled by any console games. That is one of the reasons people still play so much Halo to this day, Halo 3 is adding both forge and media sharing which so far is unprecedented tools to the consumer

I read the Wiimote costs $7 to make and the Nunchuck around $4, sorry I don't have a link. But its old technology already, its just never been used together before.

Are you kidding me, wii sports wa probably a quick throw together game made up of great ideas for tech demos the budget well under a million. even if nintendonly added $5 to teh value of the console to compensate they would be making millions wii sports should barely anything to cost meaning that the wii costs about $170, a rip off but I still got one, why I dont know, could have waited for the games but the price aint dropping anytime soon so I said might aswell get it now before they become hard to find for the holiday season.
