Spoken like a true idiot. Cartridges are completely different. Blu rays don't need different hardware or lasers to play them, just software.

I dont know why anyone is complaining. Used games wont go away with these consoles. I think all of this conversation is derailing us from the fact that these systems should have backwards compatability. I mean they are running on blurays so at least the ps3 games should run on the ps4...

I wouldn't care. I would trade used games for backwards compatability any day....but I fear it will be the opposite.

Sure lets do it with games....and lets also put a tax on guns and ammo....the internet....tv...movies....music....and anything else that a mentally disturbed person may view that could potentailly cause an issue to help fund mental health programs..........idiots

I dont ever see anyone playing Diablo or any other serious games on laptops in the situations he described. I never see anyone with a laptop out sitting at a bus stop, subway, or when at work on a break. I do however see them on phones or portables (Vita). I think you argument is flawed.

This guy has no clue what gamers want. Thank god he's not working for a game company. I have a Vita, ipad, and a smartphone and I in no way think its anything more then to pass time. When I'm out and about I use them because I have to be still aware of my surroundings. You cant get involved,pay attention, and be totally immersed when on a subway or killing useless time like on a break from work. I never want to get rid of my surround sound, big screen, total immersion that comes from my living room. I think if this guy was working for MS or Sony and calling the shots then it would be the last system that they come out with and they would see major revenue loss. Don't lose your day job Tom.
