Definitely looks like the explosives were in the trunk. Also, if there were any in the front of the car, he hadn't actually managed to open the door when the explosion occurred. All of this would have served to decrease the pressure wave from the explosion and that combined with his suit most likely saved him.

If I ever get picked last for some sport, I use that as motivation to win. People probably aren't expecting much out of you if you're the last pick so you can go ahead and use that to your advantage. Once my friends and I were playing ultimate frisbee and I was one of the last picked. I ended up scoring 5 of the 7 points for our team that same game. julian_jr

THats what I figured as well, but I didn't even get any touches on the ball. Not once was I even looked at for passes nor did the opposing team even bother to try and cover me. On the defensive side I was quite involved, successfully stopping running plays and getting tips on the ball leading to incomplete passes(no interceptions tho). Nonetheless it didn't change anything, my team still ended up getting rocked.

Today I I had a barbeque with a group of 25ish friends and prior to eating, a group of about 15 of us broke off to go play a game of football. After designating a pair of captains they proceeded to start making picks. Now as you may have already guessed, I ended up as the very last pick. I'm a pretty tall guy, consider myself fairly athletic and yet I got picked very last behind people that are shorter than me, and run slower than me, so I didn't understand it at all.

None of my friends made a deal about it and I didn't make a fuss but it bothered me that they didn't think very highly of my abilites. Subsequently, in play not once was I thrown the ball nor did the opposing team even bother covering me(as if they didn't consider me a threat).

Enough of my rant however, I pose the question to OT, if you get picked last for something, are you bothered? and if so explain the details of why or why not.

I totally would, for me, personality is much more important than a how a person looks. Don't get me wrong, I still would like a girl who is cute and good looking, but her personality is what really matters.

Last year I was dating a friend who is 5 foot 2 inches and I'm 6 foot 2 inches and we didn't have any issues at all. In the end things didn't work out but thats a totally different matter.

On guys I don't think long hair looks good in any shape or form.

For girls, I like girls who have shortish to medium length hair. Overall tho it really depends on what complements the girls features. Some girls can pull off a variety of looks, some look best a certain way.

I'm not trying to be offensive in any way but the way I interpret(and I'm not knowledgeable at all in this area so I could be interpreting wrong) halal killing sounds like its very counter-intuitive. What I've read on wikipedia describes that the intention is to cause the animal as little physical pain as possible but the method of causing death is to cut the throat of the animal and let it bleed to death? That sounds like it would actually induce much more suffering. The animal won't die instantaneously, it has to just lay there and bleed out?

Then again, I'm not sure how much suffereing bleeding out causes. In any case, I appreciate anyone providing more information/insight on the matter.

Well... mmm I watch the Simpsons all the time if that counts. I just watched Recess today but thats not a regular habit for me.

YES /sigh. Everytime I lie down for bed my mind just races, I end up thinking about alot of different things and start stressing out. Takes me an hour + always to fall asleep. The only time I can sleep right away is if i'm on 4 hours or less of sleep from the night before; then the exhaustion just takes over.
