I imported DS back in May, and I've finished every version of NG; NG on hard has nothing on DS in terms of difficulty.

ok. So I might get owned hardcore in this game.

Everyone will, at least in the first part of the game. It get's easier as you level up, and if you're patient.

Did you play Ninja Gaiden 1 and 2, and did you find those easy?

Something broke in GSP when he lost to Serra, he has been unstoppable ever since, I suspect that BJ Penn will be no more than an ant in a magnifying glass in the sun to him. GSP TKO 2nd Round.Andrew_Xavier

That loss was the best thing that could have happened to him. Failure is a necessary stepping stone to greatness; it humbles you and reminds you never to take anything for granted, especially since that loss really shouldn't have happened. In other words, GSP grew up.

Chaos Legion (PS2): It was dismissed as a Devil May Cry clone and didn't get the respect it deserved. An extremely fun and challenging action game.

Blood Will Tell (PS2): Probably THE most underrated game on the PS2, in my opinion. Anyone who's into story-driven action games needs to track this one down. It can be hard to find, but it's well worth it.

Shadow Of Rome (PS2): Another great action game that isn't really talked about.

Haunting Ground (PS2): A psychological thriller that focuses on exploration and puzzles instead of cheap scares and combat. Survival horror at its finest.

[QUOTE="mariokart64fan"]you can not open the case to remove the cover, without ripping the stickers! sofaking_bob
FAIL! Try again. It's actually quite easy if you have a small heat gun like what you would use to reseal the shrink wrap.

You people don't think.

1)The only way it would be possible to "fake this" would be if you already had a sealed copy of DMC 3; that's the only way you'd be able to get the hologram sticker and tear-strip intact. And the heat would destroy the glue, so you wouldn't be able to get it "stuck on" again. And why, exactly, would you ruin a perfectly good sealed game to make this?

2)You can't duplicate the seal with a shrink-wrap machine. Factory games wrapped in cellophane, in a specific y-fold configiration that's easy to spot, not just regular plastic wrap. I have a lot of sealed games and I can tell from the pic that it was wrapped legitimately.

3)And assuming that you could somehow get past the above two points, why the hell would anyone go through this trouble ona cheap game like DMC 3? Especially a mom and pop store who is selling it assuming it'll be opened to play?

Regret is useless. If I buy something on release day and hate it, which rarely happens, I Ebay it and make most, if not all my money back. And if I didn't care to pick up a game on release day, I'll wait until I can get one for $10-$20, in which case I don't care if it isn't the best thing I've ever played.

I can't stand how every gamer nowadays is a critic; just relax. You can find fault in anything, and you can also find good in anything, so have fun with the hobby instead of b**ching all the time. Judging by some of your post counts, you must fight about games more than you play them; what's the point?

For the PS3 this year I bought 37 Blu-ray games, 1 PSN game (Super SF2 HD remix) and one dualshock 3 controller. Out of the 37 games I purchased, I've sold 6 of them.

There are a lot of decent action games on the PS2. I've got Bujingai, Shinobi, Nightshade, DMC series, God of War, Chaos Legion, the Onimusha series, Shadow of Rome and Blood Will Tell.

I've also got Nanobreaker and Red Ninja, but I suggest staying far away from those.

I grew up in the 8 and 16 bit era, and I say you're all fooling yourselves if you think games were truly better then. The 8 bit era had a ton of terrible, unplayable games. The 16 bit era was a bit better, but the NES, SNES and Gensis libraries have more than their fair share of garbage.

There was definitely more creativity and variety back then, but that's more due to limited budgets and tech. There's too much money involved in development these days, and because all of you (don't deny it) are so demanding, and want to be able to SEE what you're getting for the $400 you shelled out for your console, less risks are going to be taken. And you can't blame them, really, when you see how games that attempt to do something different tend not to do as well with the general public.

You can enjoy looking back on the "good old days", but remember that it's mostly nostalgia talking and not actual fact. Every generation thinks what they grew up with was "the best", and ultimately no one is really correct. If you enjoy old school gaming, more power to you, but I enjoy looking forward. Heck, we were spoiled as gamers in the last couple of months, and I have no doubt that the last 2 years ar going to be looked upon very highly a couple of decades from now.
