It's a shame that this isn't the official box art.

dude, i have been mildly interested if at all in this game, but i've become more and more interested in in the last couple days. I hope it's good.ibanezdropd

I bought it on launch day along with Dead Space. My advice? Don't bother. I've already sold it.

[QUOTE="Stevo_the_gamer"]No game this generation is worth $60.Bentham

You must be a very stingy gamer

And you must have a disposable income if you think games are worth $59.99.

I don't have "a disposable income" but I do have some "disposable income" and I choose to buy new games with some of it. I spend a lot more than $60 on a night out, and that only lasts 3 hours at most, with nothing to show for it.

If you actually play the games, gaming is actually one of the cheaper forms of entertainment out there, if you calculate it out on an hourly basis.

Purely based on action, I would say: NG2>DMC4>HS. But again, that's based entirely on the combat and not other factors such as story, atmosphere, visuals, audio, etc...

In terms of overall enjoyment(personal opinion) and polish, I would reverse the order: HS>DMC4>NG2. And yes, I've finsihed all three.

Also, I'm not counting NGS since it's just a port of a last-gen game, but I think NGS>NG2 overall.

I've been anticipating this game for a long time and I'm shocked to announce that it has not only met my expectations, but exceeded them. With all the dissapointments lately, this game is a god-send.

From the Review: "you have to perfectly time when you press the parry button to match the forthcoming hit of your opponent, but not too early and not too late."

WTF is he talking about? That's exactly what you expect from a parry button!

This is clearly biased. Not that i think the game is good, but don't believe IGN.

YankeeDan345

I've been playing this game for a couple of hours now; I picked it up this afternoon along with Dead Space before seeing any reviews, based on the fact that I was a huge fan of Golden Axe as a kid.

Is the game disspointing? Yes and no, since I wasn't expecting much but I was hoping it would do the GA name justice.

Is it a 3.2? NO!

It's mediocre all around but it isn't as terrible as the IGN reveiwer is making it out to be. I've had no problem with either evasion or parrying.

Overall, I don't see how this game is so much worse than Conan. It's lacking overall and quite flawed, but it's playable and even entertaining if like hack and slash fantasy-type games and aren't expecting God of War. I'm somewhat dissapointed and I probably shouldn't have dropped $60 on this game, but that review is WAY too harsh. Genji is MUCH worse than this, IMO.

, The orange Box, really lol? (YEs, really. According to Gamerankings is one of the 10 best games ever. So yes, really.)

IronBass

Uh...Orange Box is on the PS3 as well. I'm looking at my copy on the shelf as I type this.

[QUOTE="heretrix"]God forbid people try to get paid for their work.young_doe

And God forbid those rich people getting paid to over charge the less fortunate.

Less fortunate? Gaming is a luxury. Go complain about your gaming woes to more than half the world's population who are forced to survive off of less than $2 a day. I can understand feeling ripped off about oil prices, or other necessities, but gaming? No one who has the time and money to game at all can be considered "less fortunate".

If you don't like something that a business is doing, don't buy their product. Period. Speak with your wallet.

Well, I agree with your logic as a multi-console owner and that's why I rarely post here. This is not the place for that kind of thinking, as it will only fall on deaf ears. It's best not to take this place so seriously. I come here on occasion to kill some time because I find the bickering and **** really amusing, but I don't take any of it seriously.
