Nothing compares to Ocarina. Unless they come out with some VR-thing, there is no way to even try to match the game.Mehdi1984

Out of curiosity, why?

The DoW 2 beta seems to hate me. It keeps randomly crashing when I am about to win a match, and it has a strange tendeny to not count some of the ranked matches I play as wins or losses, as if they didn't happen.

The game is Empire Total War. No offense but how obvious is it that that game would need simplifying to work on a console? There's no way you could play that bad boy with a game pad. If you're trying to say this is evidence that PC games need dumbing down on consoles, i think it's a very poor example.Ninja-Hippo

Exactly, the game is a bloody RTS. That basically guarantees the necessity of a keyboard.

[QUOTE="InternetKraken"]Oh come on. Give Blizzard some credit. foxhound_fox

After their acquisition by Activision, Activision's "we will dump anything that cannot be milked every year" and decision to release the whole single game in three separate packages... I will remain highly sceptical of the game and Blizzard's future projects. They have a lot ot live down with StarCraft... and I personally think Blizzard now just isn't up to the task. They might have been before their Activision overlords came down on their studios... but now I'm not so sure.

Plus, StarCraft was already practically perfect. How they can improve on that in any meaningful way is highly questionable.

They're not going to improve on it in any meaningful way. Most of their fanbase just wants them to make Starcraft with better graphics. In other words, Blizzard gets to be lazy and still make a ton of money.

[QUOTE="cjm23"]As much as I would like to see your ideas implemented Head_of_games, I just don't see there being enough time for all of this. Arcade mode would be cool, but still, not enough time.Head_of_games
Would it really be that hard to write a program to run through the game in a certain way?

Uh, yeah. It would.

The Conduit is most likely going to fail anyways due to the hardware limitations of the Wii. Not supporting local multi-player is just one of the reasons.

Rare no longer produces the DK games for Nintendo, hence why they lack the quality of the old ones.

I personally never hyped the first killzone and knew it was going to turn out pretty bad.

But what I really hope doesn't happen is the next starcraft and diablo turns out to be part of this pile of crap. We are hyping these two pretty high if anyone notice. Now I'll shut up.

PSdual_wielder

If you expect Starcraft 2 to be the same as Starcraft, then you won't be dissapointed. Blizzard is just repackaging the original game with better graphics and a few new toys, however this is what their fanbase actually wants. What I have learned from Dawn of War 2 is that PC gamers can be the most resistent to change.

The gaming industries view of the average player is becoming worse. When they can make big bucks off of things like DLC, they tend to get the idea that we will pay for anything. Since Microsoft is making substantial profits off of LIVE, Sony will most likely do the same without fear of losing major PS3 support.

Not that I disagree with this. I don't find it ridiculous to pay for LIVE. It is, after all, a business and I find LIVE to be worth my 50 dollars a year.

What is this cry about DLC night? Its 10 dollars at most and it isnt going to change this is how gaming is now exept it.djsifer01

Why should you have to accept something like that? I don't care if it's only 10 dollars, that doesn't justify taking content away from the game to later sell it to the players for extra money. Plus DLC is usualy not worth the money.
