What I recently bought...

It's called "Bed" and it's a compilation of rare tracks from Lost Balance, one of my favorite trip-hop bands. It's in a very limited edition (only 2 copies left! :o ), being initially a self-released CD-R. I really love the tracks, the 10+ dollars I've shelled out were more than worth it.

Another finished exoddus

Finished Abe's Exoddus yesterday, with all Mudokons saved. Here are some "souvneirs" a.k.a. nice screenshots I've taken during the game: http://www.gamespot.com/users/IonescoF/view_album?id=sGY4CBsPLX-LRsZv Unfortunately, for some reason, the program I use didn't made screenshots during some screens in Scrab Vaults, where there were some really beautiful sunsets!... :( I would like though to replay the game and get those shots later today... And by the way, this is in spoiler alert mode. At the end of the album, some shots with the goodies that you can see ONLY when you finish the game with 100% saved Mudokons.

Ponsardin...

It saddens me everytime (rarely) I log in my old account (not my first... my first was an account called Nymphenburg whiich I hadn't even used because I couldn't access the email address I used back then). I wanted to look for an old PM Draqq_Zyxorian once send me about some poetry sites, but I'm really too tired to look among all the 51 pages of that inbox... I guess to find such a site all by myself. ...Why? Because I made three awesome poems in English about an hour ago.

Exoddus

Replaying Abe's Exoddus (haven't finished yet, I'm still at the scrabs' vaults), I can definitely say that it hasn't lost my charm. I still think though that it gets rapidly too diificult and the developers have messed around a bit too much with certain types of puzzles, such as the ones in which you have to run like hell from those annoying things (Slurgs?) that have you as their diet...

What's going on

The h4x0r alert was kinda... pointless. There was a h4x0r, but he only changed the front page of that label's website. So, I shouldn't worry too much. Today I've restarted Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus. I didn't played it as much as Abe's Oddysee, and, besides that, both games can make me sweat pretty hard at times. As for you guys, I am making screenshots whenever I stumble over something really nice. So, a Gamespot Images album with "postcards" from the game might come soon...

In h4x0r alert

Great! I've ordered yesterday an album by one of my favorite bands, and this morning I've found the label's site hacked! I feel so terrible at the thought that he might have seen the intimate details of my dad's PayPal! Oh God, I feel so messed up. :(

Books, books, books...

I've got a week to read about 4 books (and 2-3 days already passed) and I only managed to finish the first one I've picked, a book which has nearly everything Arthur Rimbaud written. I didn't read the last few pages that contained poems in Latin Rimbaud written when he wasn't so "rebel" plus few later erotic poems. I just didn't had the patience to read something awful or seemed awful after reading those powerful poems from "Illuminations". I've managed though to start a Mallarme book. I'm unsure if this has every poem by Mallarme, it is a lot slimmer in reality. Out of the 300+ pages, about 175 pages are with poems, but half of them are the original poems in French and the other half are (rough?) translations in Romanian. I still suck at French, but at least the translations seemed quite odd to me. I do enjoy this cruncy type of hermetic poems though...

Trip(py)

Been this afternoon on a tiring yet accomplished trip to the county library. Haven't found everything I've wanted, but I did get Baudelaire - "The Flowers of Evil" (which I had to read for school on this vacation) and I also got stuff from Rimbaud and Mallarme...

Nightmarish night

Last night was terrible. I went to bed enthusiastic at the thought of having to read for school Baudelaire, Rimbaud and other such stuff that I was going to read for pleasure anyway. It wasn't long until my mum called me in the balcony to see something... I was very freaked out when I saw a handful of enormous rays of lights coming from somewhere behind the nearby block. It could have been the laser show of some funky discoteque, but there's no disco around and the only thing that has some kind of projectors is a furniture showroom, but they don't have that many projectors (not to mention the projectors are only for illuminating the facade of the building). The rays of light weren't extremely intense and weren't spread in all the directions. Yes, there was something that moved them, but they weren't rotating, rather moving within a certain range (like a programmed laser show). But the very dubious position of the source and how they were moving... it felt like a nightmare brought into reality. That's why I didn't stayed long - so that this reality won't be braked. After a session of dreaming, I woke up... What happened next was something that I could mark as "lucid dream" or "hallucination" if it wasn't real. Unfortunately, it was real. At first, I thought the supposed UFO took off or another explanation like that, but it was a thunder... For 1 or 2 hours there was an unbelieveable rain, with thunders/lightnings at every 5 seconds (!) and a tempo at some point that would suggest a flash flood... At some point, I returned in the balcony - it wasn't as terrible as it seemed so, and the thunders seemed a bit far from us... I can assure you though that, at some point, the thunders were close enough to activate some alarm in the parking lot. After a lot of struggle, I managed to fall asleep again as the rain ended, but, when I woke up again, another rain with thunders started. Luckily, I could hear further and rarer thunders, so I was able to close my eyes with the sound of the raindrops in the background. (I still find it quite strange though that, in spite of the thunders I've heard, I couldn't see any clouds in the case of the second rain...) When I finally woke up this morning, everything seemed back to normal. This morning though some strange events happened as well. As I was writing this blog post, there was a sudden blackout, but I found out that there were some tests with the nearby electrical facility. So, here I am. What's really strange though is that my mum, although switching off the appliances before the light went on again, seen the TV from the kitchen and the air purifyer from the living room turning on when the so-called blackout was over even though they were previously off... Weird. I'm quite afraid of what madness might happen in every moment... I just don't know what else to say..
