[QUOTE="Iyethar"]Iwata took Nintendo from a $12 billion dollar company to a $35 billion dollar company in 3-4 years. What has Kutaragi done for Sony lately?mjf249

Ken Kutragi brought gaming to the masses with the PlayStation.

Past accomplishments only serve to enhance present dishonor.

Games are going to be a big factor in the coming year or two. If the japanese take to Brain Age and other titles like they did with the DS, the Wii could utterly destroy in that region. If they feel that those games are best for on the go, though, the PS3 may just catch up.karicha9

It's beyond that.  The PS3 cannot catch up in Japan without a miracle.  It can't even get started.

You act as if you can't own both a 360/PS3 and a Wii.

Fanboys.

Anxz

We don't want a wii though.

Who the hell are you?

Don't speak for everyone you fanboy.

I'm not a fanboy. I just like quality products.

Who made you the arbiter of quality?

It's an opinion, not a fact.

So... whom are you speaking for as "We" in "We don't want a wii"?  Remember that you support that statement against accusations of fanboyism with your personal opinion with regards to quality.  Were you speaking in the royal "We"?

Incorrect, it's mimicking the N64, which sold even BETTER than the wii is doing now, despite this early advantage, it got wiped out by the original playstation, which sold even WORSE than the Playstation 3 is doing now.
mikemil828

Analogy fails, and this is why:

PS1 JPN launch: December 1994

PS1 NA/EU launch: September 1995

N64 JPN launch: June 1996

N64 NA launch: September 1996

N64 EU launch: March 1997

Compare to:

PS3 JPN/NA launch: November 2006

Wii NA launch: November 2006

Wii JPN/EU launch: December 2006

PS3 EU launch: March 2007

Find a different comparison.

[QUOTE="mikemil828"]Actually I would argue that you should short Nintendo's stock, but that's just me.mikemil828

Argue it then. Don't just say you would.

If you have a problem with what I said, argue against it. Don't just imply you have a problem.

I can't argue against an argument you haven't presented.  Why do you think Nintendo's stock should be shorted?

The "Don't just imply you have a problem" is pretty special considering the fact that you initially responded to my post, disagreeing with my recommendation to buy Nintendo stock with no more support than "that's just me".  It's astonishing that I should have to remind you of this as it happened quite recently.
