I got an Alienware M11x R2 for really cheap...employee discount, and it has been great. I can play games like TF2, L4D, SC2, Borderlands etc on nearly high settings.

[QUOTE="Stalkerfieldsis"]

[QUOTE="DrTrafalgarLaw"] As of late, occasionally yes. I might have wanted a PC gaming rig when I was like 18 and all I did was play UT2k4 and stuff like that...but I grew out of PC gaming. Only reasons to go back are maybe Diablo 3 and some smaller indie games. **** shooters.

DrTrafalgarLaw

He's more grown up, yet he plays mario galaxy, go away dude your pathetic. Meanwhile I'll be palying games and doing schoolwork and consuming media on one device like a mature, modern, tech-savvy person.

How is complaining on a forum about how other should enjoy gaming any more mature? Hate to break it to you, but SMG1 and 2 have more passion for videogames that anything that $1000+ piece of plastic has put out in the past decade. You have fun being tech savvy, I'll just enjoy hooking up with women and I'll let them enjoy my joystick in a mature way. (Did I do elitism right?)

Ha.

Don't tell LoosingENDS, I'm not sure he can hold up blind fanboyism for another couple of years with just Kinect shovelware.

Strong build, perhaps a little overpowered for the GPU but I guess it gives you the opportunity to upgrade in that area in the future and not worry about the rest. Having an SDD for the OS is always good. I'd start by showing off what you can do with the power, and Skyrim or SC2 don't really do that. I'd go with The Witcher 2 or even mod out Crysis just for fun (plus it's a good game as well) which would suit because you can pick it up pretty cheap nowadays.

Gaming on a laptop is perfectly legit however you're right you will pay more for less. If you need a laptop anyway or getting a desktop is not practical then go for it. I have an ASUS G53JW and have a 24" monitor as well. Although I am building a desktop later this month I will keep the gaming laptop for LAN with friends etc.

you are the one who started insulting people. logical discussion stopped there. what are you expecting out of this thread? people to just go buy gaming pcs and stop playing consoles? people to apologize to you? get over yourself guy, everyone who isnt a casual gamer is getting screwed over these days. i hate origin but love mass effect... still not gonna buy me3. no tears here.

DrTrafalgarLaw

There ya go, that's it...yes, I want people to pay for a better $600 to $800 device that is actually the same price or cheaper than a console setup because it replaces multiple devices and then people would get better gaming experiences and the industry would move along in a better direction.

And I should care because...? If I get a better gaming experience on consoles, without needing to fap to every 1080p pixel...why on earth should I spend $600 more for some backwardsass console port? For the "sake" of gaming? Oh please, try playing fighting games on PC competitively. Not everyone wants to hunch forward/slouch behind a PC 24/7...I got better stuff to do and occasionnaly play on console. Get over yourself. PC elitists...

You frequent gaming forums but only occasionally game?

It's the best gaming experience, is there anybody who actually still denies that?

[QUOTE="Jebus213"][QUOTE="JC_Spot"][QUOTE="Jebus213"] I do like changes. I just hate bad changes.

You are just like those CS elitists. ANY change they go crazy but they still say they are in favor of changes. Nothing will satisfy you.

The change between BF1942 and BF2 satisfied me. All because I dislike BF3 doesn't mean I want an exact clone of BF2. You have anymore assumptions?

I'm sure there are people who like the changes from BF2 to BF3, but I guess they're wrong and you're right?

Artistically it's great, technically it's good but far from the best.
