Why do you not care about the devs? Do you want them to keep making games? I deliberately gave all the money I payed to the devs.I copied the DRM free versions on a USB stick and let my friends play them, thats what friends do after all. I don't really care about giving to charity or the developers.

I had a friend with integrated graphics and SMB ran horribly for some reason, not even playable. You're not stuck with nothing to play, you just won't be playing Skyrim or Battlefield. Check out some of the indie games on Steam. Braid, Bastion, Super Meat Boy, and others. They are all incredibly fun and don't demand much power.

I have nothing against PC gamer elitism, but you're actually so close minded that you think only those who have been PC gaming for a decade should be ALLOWED to do so. You know how you get rid of the casuals/COD crowd? Make a game they hate. People won't play a game they don't like. Seriously you sound like one of those Counter Strike elitists that has been playing for 10 years and will be playing for the next 10 years and refuse to even try anything evolved because of teh noobs. Get a life.[QUOTE="JC_Spot"][QUOTE="Jebus213"] I would have been very happy if they really did do that. There should have been a quiz to determine whether you liked mindless "insta-action" games or "press X to win".Stalkerfieldsis
No, screening players so that veterans can only play, THAT would do what you're speaking of, THAT would be stupid. What he's saying is to discriminate againsst morons, if you're a new PC gamer and what you think is a good game is a "highly interactive and challenging experience that build a upon its predecessors if it has any" then more power to you. If you're a new PC gamer who's idea of a great game is a linear, low interactivity "press 'X' to win" expereince like Uncharted, than you're not bad because you're new, you are bad because you are a simple-minded moron.
Nobody is buying a gaming PC for low interactivity games unless you're into wasting money. Personally I would go as far as to say Skyrim is well down the road to a casual game. But for the record Uncharted 2 is an amazing game. There is nothing wrong with linear gameplay if it's done right. The problem I have is when RPG's or some FPS games become linear when there was no need to.There's dozens of sources all the way to the leaked specs that came out during E3 right after the NDA slipped.[QUOTE="JC_Spot"]I guess you're not so much pro-360 as you are anti-PS3.... You have no sources, and Nintendo say they have launch games running at 720p. If it was 3-4x as powerful they could easily do 1080p.phonemug
1080 p doesn't mean much too the target audience of the WiiU. That's just forum cannon fodder. And no new hardware is optimized. It's expected.
PS3 was 720p at launch? You'd expect something 4x as powerful to AT LEAST be 1080p at launch. If high end graphics doesn't mean anything to the target audience why would they waste money making such a powerful machine? We needed one because I made it. I always set the record straight. Are you that loosingends guy on another account or something??[QUOTE="thom_maytees"]
Did we need another Wii U thread? I think I am seeing at least four of them on the first page of this forum.

You cannot realistically upgrade a laptop.[QUOTE="JC_Spot"][QUOTE="Orpheus88"]
Do i need to upgrade anything then? also. Would it be able to run Blizzard games (Diablo3, Starcraft2)?
Orpheus88
So in other words, am stuck with this laptop with nothing to play?
You could play older games or some indie games but no you will not be able to play the latest blockbusters.
