Hello all. I'm a big fan of racers, and I'm looking for a solid street racer. Granted I love Forza 3, and the Blur demo is wicked fun, I really want a street racer, with shortcuts, traffic, customization, etc. More focus on tuners and such as opposed to exotics. I noticed Need for Speed Undercover went up on Games on Demand today, and Midnight Club LA is on there as well. Between these, and any other suggestions you can offer, which do you think is the best overall purchase? Not too worried about multiplayer, I've always been more attracted to the single player side of racers. Thankyou very much for any help that can be offered, it's greatly appreciated.

Well you could try out Racedriver Grid, i know it is quite an old game now but i've been redoing the career mode again as it is quite fun. Not only do you get the standard racing but they also have 'japanese drifting' races in there in which the aim is to earn as many points as you can in a given amount of laps, you also can do demolition derbys and once a season you get to do the 24 hour le mans race (which in realtime is 24 mins). Its definately worth a shot if you can find a place to buy it as it likely to be very cheap by now. Just found it on play.com for £11.95 free delivery ****c edition on amazon is £11 So definately a well worth while game if you have not yet played it.

I loved it and this is from a gamer who hated GTAIV and never got interest in Gun or Call of Juarez.

I just watched gamespots review of it and now i can't wait to get a copy! Online looks epic and singe player looks so good! I might borrow i friends copy first just until my copy arrives as ill probably order it from play or coolshop so it could be a while before i get it... probably a week or so... its been a long time since ive been excited by a game!

Seriously? No offense, but have you read any of the reviews? If just about every review is highly positive, why would you think otherwise?DJ_Magneto
Well a few of my friends bought the game and a few of them said it was not as good as expected and one took the game back after two days because he hated it so much... granted he plays ps3... I just wanted to make sure since i havent played 360 for like 21 days and hevent checked up on the latest releases for even longer... no better way to find out than asking the ever helpful gamespot community :)

Hi everyone! So i was just watching some trailers for Red Dead Redemption whilst browsing play.com as its been like 2 months since i've last bought a game so its probably time for a new one.... anyway i was just wondering whether or not it is as good as it is portrayed. I love western games such as Gun and Call of Jaurez and am still playing gta 4 to this day. Have Rockstar lived up to there name? or is it another hyped up game like call of duty?

[QUOTE="JM_MUFC"]

Is it just my game/psp or is little big planet a really glitchy game? It seems to simetimes shutdown during the long tedious load times as if the psp just cant be bothered with it anymore and times out... also the amount of times you get a message during level creator that says 'This file cannot be accessed/found. Please restart the game'. Lets just hope in the next game update they get these things sorted.... although surely by like update 2.02 it should be fixed...right??

I also find LBP very very very very very glitchy. Although for me, it only shuts down when I'm messing with the level editor. LBP's level editor is so flawed and buggy.

I find that it shuts down during load times an awful lot, some levels are ok if they have had a lot of downloads so i usually can only play highest rated or cool levels... others just crash the system and i have to restart the psp. What gets really annoying is you cant skip that massive and annoying intro vid at the start, its got to a point where that guys voice makes me want to hit my head repeatedly against a wall!!!

Just thought i'd drop in and say that if you have not yet got a psp then do not get the psp go! as it is cheaply made and not as comfortable to use. Instead go for a psp 3000 or a 2000 at least.
