@simonbarfod Litturaly. I agree somewhat but I don't think they're losers. If it makes him happy and he can afford to keep doing it who am I to judge. Also it's spelled literally.
This game reminds me of Shadow Of Rome for the PS2. Man that was a great game, so much gore in the arena, has the Spartacus feel and it was done well and not too over the top.
But Ryse on the other hand looks like a chain of repetitive quick-time events that you button mash like God Of War, but they took it to an insane lvl like every enemy you kill I saw in gameplay was a QTE. Not interested in it.
Damn was the only game I was looking forward to for the next generation so far. Still not going to buy the next gen consoles for a couple years, too many games left un-played on my PS3 and PC and the price drops on the games are gonna be great. Going to wait on the PS4 slim with all the update fixes and should be a lot cheaper.
As long as the main character is not a female I don't think it would be a big deal. If they want to kill this franchise the should go ahead and put a female lead, would be funny to see the COD franchise fail.
Nice review, I think I'll pass on this until it's going for $7.50 on Steam. I know it will take a couple months but I'm in no rush to play this and my backlog of games to get to is massive.
