I think a better choice is to take 720p at 60fps with more graphical features.Supafly1
i totally agree, this is not good for halo 3 at all, its pointless cus either way 360 cant output true 1080p in the first place, most the consoles dont have the HDMI port, and the system still has an anolog scaler which downgrades the signal. they wont keep it at 60FPS thats for sure, they should just leave it at 720p man this is not cool. i was gonna buy the 360 (sold my old one)with this game when it came out but now im in wait and see mode...

CGI and 1080p uncompressed textures take up a lot of spaceccgod
MGS never used CGI since part 1, and we dont know if it is in 1080p or 720 yet.

you may be right in blue dragon's case but not here.

 you must be joking? theres no way MGS4 will take up more then oblivion...STABW0UND
its funny when uneducated people bring up oblivion when it comes to space issues, oblivion reused so many textures and models and structures it almost became a joke, and most of the game is trees and grass anyways, its not like its a vibrant filled planet with a giant town every direction you look. if kojima said it is that big then it is, we should believe you over him ?

also remember mass effect barely fits on 1 dvd with massive compression and what not, and now the game is delayed so who knows what they are having difficulties with.

"...instead you offer Killzone 2. But KillZone 1 sucked before, so what made you think we wanted more ? "

what francises fist game sucked but the second game rocked ?

BioShockOwnz

Devil May Cry 2 sucked and 3 made up for 2's lack. Killzone 1 was a great game, it was just overhyped, and for a game that sold 4 million copies, I wouldnt call it a bad game just because of a score gamespot gave it. The next killzone will be a success. It may not be a halo killer but one thing I did think the first killzone had over halo was the story and single player, was better. Just the game had alot of problems do to the hardware not being able to run such a game.

Thats appoximately a 5% attach rate, as opposed to Gears of Wars 40%. Not exactly something to be proud of.

 lemmings using the attach rate argument, maybe i need to inform you hardly anyone bought a ps2 because of the FPS games it had or shooters. people bought xbox360 for games exactly like GEOW and halo, its what the xbox fanbase likes. playstation fanbase likes racers, platformers, adventure, etc

Maybe that's because the PS2 had no exclusive shooters that were worth buying.

uh yeah thats my point son, people didnt buy ps2 for the shooters, they bought it for everything else and the variety it had. and the attach rate argument is stupid cus people act like all those ps2 owners were...

1.shooter fans

2.FPS fans at that

ps2 became so populare people wer buying multiple systems especially after the slim came out. and other people bought one just cus it was the thing to do, you had to have a playstation. so the attach rate argument becomes moot.

[QUOTE="Jack-Napier"]since when did everyone have an ELITE ? not many people are gonna buy that thing compared to premium. and DMC4 is 1080p/ 60 FPS on ps3 but they havent mentioned what it runs at on 360 so we dont know how similar they are.SamXVII

Tons of people put in preorders, and people who have the Premium can buy the add-on drive.

people are gonna buy a ripoff add on to play a port of a game from a radically different architecture ? me thinks not. fact is this game might be triple layer cus kojima said 50GB might not be enough, and it uses CELL chip to the max and will probably use the same mesh technique Lair uses, which requires the CPU to be capable of rendering graphics at this point, which the CELL can do.

It matters not. In the US, Blu-Ray is winning. In Europe, HD-DVD is killing Blu-Ray.

Meaning: We are most likely stuck in a confusing, pointless format war that could have been avoided if Toshiba and Sony got together and ironed their differences out. I hope both formats fail to eclipse DVD to set a future precedence to future formats.

tango90101

look at the top 20 best selling HD movies, most are bluray. they are bundling 4 or 5 movies with hddvd players to get more movies out there, and the hddvd add on pirece was almost cut in half at walmart cus they arent moving. i find it kinda weird they would cut the price of the add on cus it was selling so badly then they go out and buy millions of hddvd players.

hd dvd players are oustelling bluray players 4 to 1 in North America.

the individual movie sales mean little at this point.

it's about getting the player into the homes.

link ? and last time i checked ps3 was a bluray player and a major factor in why BD movies are selling 9 to 2 over HD

1. standalone players.

2. a gaming console has never dicated the outcome of a format, so the ps3 doesn't really count, due largely because it's a game console so it's purchase doesn't necessarily equate to movie sales.

3. the speculation is that the ps3 has helped bluray sales, but speculation is all there is at this point.

you have no idea what you are talking about, people only count standalone cus it helps their cause but the truth is ps3 is the cheapest bluray player out there. and when the ps3 was released and started selling, bluray movie sales jumped and are still higher than hddvd despite the hddvd day spike.

96% of all music cds are sold at walmart.....Only 2% of Walmarts sales are music CDs....If Walmart stop selling Music CDs well lets say the Music companies would not be happy....Just something to think aboutHarlockJC
hmm what does that have to do with movies ?
