Unfortunately I'm going to have to pass with no SP since there's no broadband in my area.

Got this off the PS3 General Boards:

Hey--

Since the PS3's debut, I've been waiting for a title that would make me so crazed that I'd buy the $600 machine just to get a taste of the drop-dead awesome gaming experience.

Today, I played Warhawk.

Awesome weapons, customizable characters, phenomenal multiplayer and some sweet graphics.

Ring up the PS3, shopkeeper. I'm sold.

you need it you know, or most games wont work for you. the updates give you new things for the ps3, just like the psp.Ackad
Actually, that's not really true as I went quite a while without updating as I don't have broadband in my area and all my games worked just fine.

So why do they keep releasing these minor updates so often? They take so long to download and doesn't add much. I don't get the point. Deihmos
It's called improving upon what you already have and preparing systems for future updates. I mean if they do introduce the PlayStation Home feature or at least video chat, why wouldn't they enable the use of a variety of USB webcams to go with it? I'm actually happy that they're continuously releasing updates as it shows they're constantly trying to fix problems and improve their service.

[QUOTE="Jamh83"]As far as I know they aren't out yet, however if rumors are to believed support for them should be added in update 1.6 next Thursday.Latinoheat47
off topic but why do you call it update 1.6? if wat people say it will includeis true, it MUST be more than .06. i think it will be update 2.0

I just called it 1.6 because that's what Phil called it in one of his interviews.

As far as we know, I mean you can do all the same things for free online right now so I don't see why not.

Ok what is PlayStation Home? Can someone please explain.aka_aj03
According to the info PlayStation Home is like an online version of The Sims where you can create a custom avatar and Home on your PS3 decorated with content you unlock in games. You'll also be able to visit other people's Homes and access the content on their harddrives and play simple games (card games etc.) with them at the same time.

Actually, I voted no because there isn't a "Doesn't matter to me" option. :)
