This is literally the only thing I've heard from MS that I've liked. Just depends what their definition of 'anytime soon' is.

I'm not a Nintendo fan and won't be getting a WiiU because it doesn't suit my gaming tastes, but I really hope it does succeed because competition in the marketplace is always a good thing, especially for us the consumers.

@gilldominic @JangoF-76 Ok I'll give you the controller, but as for your other 2 points...Nobody cares about Kinect, in fact being forced to have it whether you want it or not is one of the biggest gripes people are having with this system. I don't think many people care about the cloud thing either.

These things may be innovations but they come at far too high a cost.

@gilldominic There's really only one 'innovation' that most gamers want from a new console - awesome games with better graphics. Anything beyond that is fluff.

No, Microsoft is forcefully mutilating the definition of ownership to suit their profit margins. There's a big difference.
