Yes, it's good news, but Microsoft don't deserve any credit. We all know they would've done it if they'd thought they could get away with it. Their reversal was motivated purely by fear of failure. If they gave two shits about what consumers want they wouldn't have come up with these policies in the first place.

I should f*ckin' think so Mattrick. Take away the mandatory kinect and I may even decide to change my mind about the X1. Still getting the PS4 first though. I love my X360, but MS lost my trust after all this. Not sure this is enough to regain it.

I never understand this reasoning - how can mobile games ever compete with consoles? Smartphones games are silly things you play for 20 mins when you're on the train or in a waiting room. They're not games you can sink hours-worth of play into, surely?
