Brilliant articles, certainly brings back cherished (and not so cherished) memories. My first game console was the Atari 2600 junior (the later one without the stylish wood panelling). Countless hours of my childhood were spent on that thing. Course we were pretty poor and I was still stuck with my Atari when all my friends had their NES's and Megadrives and Master Systems! Best games: Centipede Joust Pitfall Worst game: Raiders of the Lost Ark (What the hell were you supposed to do?? I could never work it out) Didn't get a new console until I could buy one myself in my early twenties, and then it was the PSX - and it blew me away. I actually called in sick for three days just to play it, haha. Most played games: Soul Reaver Colony Wars: Vengeance Destruction Derby Spider-man Battle Arena Toshinden Tekken 3 Croc: Legend of the Gobbos Spyro the Dragon Rayman 2 X-men: Mutant Academy Star Wars: Jedi Power Battles Tenchu 2 Most hated games: Jurassic Park: The Lost World (unbelievable difficult) Star Wars Episode 1 The Phantom Menace (so boring) G-Police (yawn) Oddworld (dull, dull, dull) South Park (damn turkeys!) Nowadays, I'm a proud X360 owner, and I do love it, but I still go back to those old games from time to time, and I still get as much of a kick out of playing Soul Reaver and Spyro as I did when they were new. Now THAT is the test of a truly great game - one that can surpass the need to photo-realistic graphics, etc. I wonder how many of today's games will still be as loved and enjoyed 10 years from now...
