"Why the "circle of life" has a monarchy with absolute power over its subjects--not to mention why the Pride Lands needs a king at all (how about a queen this time around?)
"The Lion King is a simplistic, outdated fable when it comes down to it."
This reads like a parody piece....you can't be serious? It's a childrens movie about lions. Does every movie really need to be making some grand standing statement about the world? Can't it just be what it is. It sounds to me that you want to watch a completely different movie.
I just finished the episode and I was bored out of my damn mind during most of it. It doesn't make sense. Why is he on the run? Just hand yourself in. They want to tell the story of two brothers bonding and the older one supporting the younger one, but really the older one is being really selfish and dragging him from his life.
Finally started playing this the other day and I am not getting the hype. It's fun enough I guess and not bad, but it's pretty much like every other by the books mass produced open world game out there like Far Cry, Assassins Creed etc, but with a Spiderman skin. Climb this tower, reveal this map, find this and that, clear that base etc etc.
Sometimes the controls can be a little tempremental when you're climing and trying to get to a very specfic point. But the combat is alright though and swinging around the city is a blast, I will admit. The story hasn't grabbed me yet, but I haven't finished the game yet, so who knows maybe it will towards the end.
Look, maybe it was going to suck, but I really want and awesome single player, story driven Star Wars game and I wanted to give it a chance. Oh well, I suppose EA couldn't let that dream go on for too long....
I haven't played an AC game since the second one, but by the sounds of it, it's best not to even think of it as an AC game.
Also shoot me, but damn I can't help but be drawn to this game. It sounds fun. Sure, they'll likely never be a CDPR, but I don't expect them to be and it doesn't mean the game can't be enjoyable. Cautiously optimistic with this one, it might be my first AC game in a long while.
I don't see how any of this is an exciting new direction. They jumped on the hype train of what was popular at the time in the style of Destiny and are making a generic game. They are turning away from what made them stand out from other companies. That isn't exciting to me in the slightest.
