I feel that GS underrates non-mainstream games with little to no hype by about 0.5-1.0. Though for more commercialised games, GS is usually in line with other reviews.
Wow, that is a lot of games... How do you have time to play them all?FlamesOfGreyI don't but I like to have them there in my collection for when I get time to relax and play.
I tend to do the same, stockpiling games in advance and thinking I'll get around to them one day. Unlike you, however, what with all the new games coming out these days, I just never have the time to come back to the old ones.
A FPS getting a 10? I don't think so. Or at least I hope not. Though if an extreme sports game can get a 10.....
Since I bought my PS3 Slim at the end of last year, all my purchases are PS3 games.
Burnout Paradise, Bioshock, Oblivion GOTY, Fallout 3, Borderlands, LittleBigPlanet, Dragon Age Origins, Valkyria Chronicles, inFAMOUS and GTA4. I'm currently bidding on Uncharted 1 and Batman Arkham Asylum on eBay.
Easily Kaz Hirai. Not a bad try by Steve Ballmer, but 'It's Ridge Racer..........RIIIIIIIIIIDGE RACER!" will go down as one of the greatest catchphrases of all time. I absolutely cannot wait for the next Ridge Racer. Couldn't care less about the game series personally but the announcement of the game itself should be beyond epic. Just give Kaz the mic again. Namco, please let there be a new Ridge Racer at the upcoming E3.
Singstar: Justin Bieber edition.
Seriously, I would love to see a proper console sequel to the original Final Fantasy Tactics, my fav game of all time. I'll settle for Criterion's next Burnout game though.
I am seriously tired of the GTA series. Unless there's some major changes in the next entry, you can count me out.
I'm surprised no one mentioned Baten Kaitos' plot twist (probably because no one played it).
Come on, Kalas, your main character was actually...
.....working for the bad guys. Yes, the same character who you've been controlling for the last 20-30 hours, Okay, he turns good again when you beat him in a boss fight later with your other party members but I've definitely never seen this type of plot twist in any other JRPG.
Halo. Mind you, I hate shooters but finishing the first two did not change my opinion of the genre or the series.
And if it counts, DotA (Warcraft in general, I guess). It's probably the reason why I avoid going to internet cafes because that's the only game my friends want to play whenever we go to one. And I find it completely boring.
Looks like Rare remains true to their name - they rarely make games. What on earth have the been up to lately???
