I'm stoked that ModNation Racers, a game with little hype compared to May's other releases, is getting 9/10 reviews. I was slightly worried that the gameplay wasn't up to scratch but my fears are put to rest now. As for the loading times, I'm playing Jade Empire at the moment and there's a 30 second loading screen whenever I enter/leave a building or go to another area. It is slightly annoying but if Modnation Racers load times aren't that much worse, then it's not really a factor for me. Looks like another purchase for me. Expecting 8.5 from GS, 8.5-9.0 from GT and a Metacritic average of 85 overall.

You can put the Gamecube Mario Kart on that list too. Didn't even need 6 months to forget that average game.

It's the whole interface thing. I would much prefer a controller - I'm just not used to a keyboard and mouse. I'm also not a fan of sitting so close to the game I'm playing' whereas with a console, you could just sit back and relax on a couch from further away. And I spent enough time on the computer already; I don't really need an excuse to be on my computer 24/7.

That's terrible. Good thing I felt Avatar was hugely overrated and have zero intention of buying its Blu-Ray.

I don't think any of these games will get a 9.5.

My predictions:

Alan Wake: 9.0.

Red Dead Redemption: For some reason, I find this one very hard to predict, but I'll go with 9.0.

Super Mario Galaxy 2: 9.0. It might be better than the original, but I'm pretty sure it'll score less for being "samey".

Modnation Racers: 8.5.

Lost Planet 2: 8.0.

3D Dot Heroes: 8.0.

Too bad we can't see Nintendo's E3 games. Would have loved to see Kid Icarus, Pilot Wings, Pokemon MMO, Wii Music 2, Newer Super Mario Bros, etc.

I highly doubt it. All my brothers are married and none of them have time for games anymore.

I've never actually played any of the console FFs (okay, maybe a bit of FF9) but the size of Tifa's uh, chest, has always impressed me.

I'm a big fan of RPGs, so I would pick Demon's Souls, Dragon Age and Borderlands. You'll get hundreds of hours of gameplay from these three games alone.

Any of the Metal Gear Solid games. It just isn't my type of tea,
