New Phone!

I got a new phone after my old motorola broke down. My new one is an 'old' model but buying a phone for $500 isn't worth it, except for maybe an iPhone.

It is a compact modern design featuring sophisticated stainless-steel covers, glossy black finish, and rounded edges.

I'm Sick

I'm feeling sick again. I hope it's not swine flu, the virus is pretty bad. I got it when buying Metal Gear Solid 2 from EB Games, inconvenient, because now I can't finish that damn game. Anyway the game is pretty fun, and I'm trying to buy more PS2 classics.

Call of Duty

Started using my Call of Duty account again which has been dead for a long, long, long time. I also added my 'Call of Duty: World at War' statistics to my profile. My stats look like this as of June 2009, and yes, I know I suck.

If you're ever bored you can join the website and maybe recruit a friend as well. You don't get much , but there is the ability to share your stats with others along with news and updates. But there is no 'Modern Warfare 2' updates to be found. THere is a seperate website for that.

My Signature

My signature finally works and it looks pretty neat! Shows how many trophies I have and it auto updates. It's about time they made on for Play Station Network users since Xbox Live fans had so many variants of signatures so long ago.

I got this from:

E3 Emblems

I got my Sony Press conference emblem, now I'm just waiting on Microsoft.

Also just a word to Gamespot, this year's emblems look great but 2008's were even better, keep up the coverage of E3 every year, it's one of the things that keeps me coming back here.

Too bad E3 is over noew, there were a lot of announcements, it was a great week for gaming.

E3 2009 - Another good year

Now that E3 2009 has wrapped up, I want to express my thoughts on the E3 that was taken back to the L A convention centre. The conferences were big and the stage demos were a great insight in what is coming up for the Christmas holidays.

Firstly cheers to Gamespot for another great year of coverage!

The Sony Conference is the one that i paid the most attention to and I am quite happy to see previews of long awaited games Assassin's Creed 2, Uncharted 2 and Gran Turismo 5. I can not wait for these to come out atleast in some sort of demo form. But I also watched the Microsoft conference and one game in particular caught my eye. Modern Warfare 2 looks absolutely stunning! The gameplay look like exactly what I loved from 2007 in the previous game Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. The graphics looked improved and that new heartbeat sensor attachment for weapons looked quite neat. The announcement of co-op special forces mode also lifted my spirit as I am a huge fan of the missions 'Crew Expendable' and 'Mile High Club' from the previous game. They insert a beautiful aspect to the game while offering a simple objective to the mission. I can not wait for the sequal's release on the 10th of November 2009.

Next is Assassin's Creed 2. One aspect that a lot of people seemed to miss, is that the setting was at night. AC1 was completely played in the day. The combat system still seems like the basic one from the original but know Ezio can disarm and use the enemies weapons against them. Talking about weapons, he now has two hidden blades that he can now use to dispatch two enemies at the same time. The inclusion of small gagets such as the smoke bomb blew my mind because I didn't think the creators would go into such detail. I think the sequal will contain everything that the first one missed.

They are my two big games of E3, it seems like November will be a big month for me, these will probably evolve into my favourite games and eventually be up for Game of the Year nonimations.

Buying a PS3?

Buying a PS3? The good Impressive graphics capability Looks swish Cheapest Blu-ray player on the market Plenty of multimedia features Wireless controllers Robust online store HDMI cable now included in bundle Online play is free The Bad Limited range of outstanding exclusive games Sixaxis needs to be better utilized Expensive compared to XBOX 360 and the Wii My Bottom Line Sony set out to make a multimedia powerhouse with the PS3, and I'm glad to say that it succeeded admirably. The inclusion of a Blu-ray player makes it almost a must-have for gamers looking to get into high definition video, particularly at this price point. Hardcore gamers, however, may need to think twice. With few exclusive titles at launch and a dwindling list of PS3-only games slated for the future, the PlayStation 3 will surely have its hands full competing against the Xbox 360 and the Nintendo Wii. With this decent competition, only one question remains, who will you support?
