you know.. the 360 wouldn't break AS MUCH if 360 owners actually knew how to take care of it. First of all, an Xbox 360 should never be set on a carpet/hard floor, otherwise it will most likely suck up a whole bunch of crap and dust and it will get f***ed up. And if a 360 makes a lot of noise.....get a friggin surround sound system....i mean come on....playing games on a 360 with surround sound is way better anyways and more immersive. and you know the huge box thing that is part of the wires? make sure you put it over a shoe box or something, instead of having it flat on the floor(it helps prevent overheating of the power bar thing). i have a 360 and it hasn't broke since. i also bought a cooling station that was originally for a laptop, but i put it under my horizontal positioned xbox 360, all on a glass table instead of on the carpet or floor.
360 = great graphics, games load faster than PS3, amazing online, more games, breaks alot, online costs money but is worth it
PS3 = great graphics, games load fairly fast, decent online, less games, online is free but not very good
i think it is impossible for the PS3 to ever overcome the 360 because it has been out a year longer then the PS3 so the 360 had time to fix or add features to the 360 through DLC or updates, or simply releasing new accessories for the 360.
