Have you played it?
no, i haven't. but i'm not the one saying that one review is right and the other is wrong, so i don't know why you're asking me whether i've played it or not, since i've never claimed to know which review is right and which isn't.
You obviously disagreeing with my opinion of Crysis: Warhead not deserving an 9.4, therefore agreeing with that score and therefore disagreeing with, I also never claimed that this review is right I claimed that I THINK Crysis: Warhead doesn't deserve a 9.4.
And Fatshodan, I still don't think it deserves a 9.4, a 9 tops is ok, but not a 9.4.
i'm obviously? what on earth? i'm just wondering why you think one review is better than the other, when you haven't even played the game. what makes you think crysis: warhead doesn't deserve a 9.4 when you haven't played the game? i don't get it.

[QUOTE="gamer082009"][QUOTE="fatshodan"]HL:ep 2 and 1 owns. So wtf is wrong with 4/5...i think they should've got a 5/5. But Crysis 1 to me is a lacking game anyways so Warhead probably does deserve that rating. This is the same website that rated Half Life 2 Episode One 4.5/5 and Half Life 2 Episode Two 4/5. I fart in their general direction.

I thought they were both unexciting compared to Half-Life 2.
The amazing atmosphere and storytelling is still there, but the variety in scenarios that was offered in the campaign of the original Half-Life 2 is not. And, ultimately, I find that if you take any particular "scenario" of the original Half-Life 2 and try to stretch it out and make it a 5-6 hour game (aka Episode 1/2), it gets really boring past the first hour or so.
Plus, the gunplay is still mediocre and that in no way is a good thing when the episodes focus much more on heavy combat action than Half-Life 2, which was a game where the emphasis was on the best element in the game: storytelling and a constantly changing variety of scenarios, involving light puzzle-solving and combat.
hl2 is a 15-hour game; episode 2 (i won't defend episode 1, which was a bit subpar for valve) is a 5 hour game. let's say episode 2 has 4 changing scenarios (antlion cave, car chase, battle inside the building with the rocket, and the end battle); to equal it, hl2 would have to have 12 changing scenarios, which it does (approximately). so the two are not all that different when you think about it.
as for mediocre gunplay, i rarely use the guns (except shotgun and the ar2). mostly, i use the gravity gun, and episode 2 was tailored for players to use it. and i personally can't think of any game that has finer gunplay when factoring in the gravity gun, because i find using gravity gun more fun than using any other gun (with the exception of doom 2's double-barreled shotgun and jedi knight: outcast's lightsaber).
and i personally don't care whether episode 2 had changing scenarios or not. the last battle in that game was just incredibly exhilarating to play, and i've not played a finer boss battle then that in episode 2. in fact, i've never played a finer 5-hour stretch than i did when playing the entire episode.
this is just my opinion, of course. :P
[QUOTE="JnWycliffe"]this is a really, really close competition! two very mediocre games - which is better? i'm going to go with gears of war, because at least i was able to finish the game, while i've yet to go beyond the first town in oblivion, despite many, many, many attempts to get into the game.Vastano
:o you'd rate Oblivion as mediocore...if you find it that difficult to do the first town; then just do what most people do...cheat to complete...and when done just deactivate cheats...that's what I had to do (after around 20-40 attempts).
GoW was wwwwwaaaaaayyyyyyy to easy...on all of the difficulty levels. I hope GoW2 will be more challenging. And I hope TES V will be a bit less difficult.
i never said i found oblivion to be too difficult; i said that i couldn't get into it, specifically because i found the combat boring, the rpg elements lackluster, and npcs bland and not worth talking to (the mini-game is just absolutely ridiculous).
