totally agree. but the op did ask whether or not we're getting fallout 3, and people are simply stating the reasons why they're not getting fallout 3, no matter how unreasonable their reasons may seem to some of us.

+ something that I have never seen in my life, a patch actually removes graphical settings instead of adding them .

This was the most surprising out of all. It removed some settings for the size of the textures.

And sorry for the 1440x1050 mistake :P I wanted to say 1440x900. It's 1 AM here .

i'm not sure i'm understanding correctly: are you saying that nwn2 patches fixes the performance issues? i'm asking because nwn2 currently has some serious framerate issues on my rig when maxed out (especially in outdoor environments with lots of npcs), and i haven't patched it up at all, so if the patches fix the performance issues, i need to install them!

I don't know how it will work out for you but personally I had no problems with it before the patches. Maxed out, 1680x1050, 8xAA and I had from 50 to 80 frames, most of the time around 65-70. After I patched it things started to gett interesting, now I have to play it at 1440x1050 and 2xAA, to get around 45-55 frames and after 3 or 4 hours I need to exit the game and start it again because it goes under 30 frames.

i guess i shouldn't patch it, in that case... :(

No, that's not Fallout 3. It's Oblivion with Guns, but Bethesda bought the Fallout license (thus preventing anyone from making a true Fallout sequel) and just renamed the game to Fallout 3 and hopes that some Fallout fans will buy it.

that may be so, but fallout 1 & 2 did rpgs - nay, pc gaming - justice and then some.
