@Mirimon78: yeah, free for the first year, which they're still in :) that helped them get pretty good adoption, guess they're hoping the games will help more
@Mirimon78: yeah, they don't because the Xbox One isn't doing well and that coincides with them pushing Windows 10, but yeah, you're absolutely right, they are doing it for that reason, but it also does provide the benefit of helping Windows 10, I mean, you see how hard they were trying to push it with making it free to update for the first year lol, they never really do that lol
@Mirimon78: see that's the problem, I didn't say anything about who "could" lol.. i said the reason they choose to do it is because they are trying to make Windows 10 more attractive, Sony can choose to put Uncharted 4 on the PC but they choose not to because the whole purpose of the existence of that game is to sell PS4 consoles. Microsoft benefits more directly from putting stuff like Gears of War 4 on Windows 10 because it makes Windows 10, their own operating system more attractive. And we're only talking about exclusives, if it's a third party game than it's not owned by Sony, and even if it has happened, it's generally not happening with console exclusives meant to help sell their own console.
@Mirimon78: if it wasn't an exclusive, it couldn't have been published by Sony, except for maybe those Sony online RPG's like the Everquest games that are mostly PC MMO's made by Sony Online Entertainment... their exclusives would never be... Microsoft can do that because they're pushing their own operating system by doing it. They have a direct interest in Windows gaming.
@iandizion713: I don't get how they can be scared when they're already doing it with FFXIV and they have been for several years, even on the PS3 version.
@iandizion713: who's saying they do? I'm totally confused... PS4 and Vita had Minecraft before they were taken over by Microsoft, so you can't give Microsoft the credit for that. I'm not saying they don't care about gamers, just saying that's not why they're now putting Xbox One games on the PC, that's all I originally meant by that.
@iandizion713: Sony's already done it with FFXIV. MS is the one that wasn't allowing it until very recently. MS only did it with Rocket League where Sony has been doing it since the PS2 generation when you could play Final Fantasy XI with Xbox 360 gamers.
@iandizion713: I think you're neglecting to remember that aside from that Wii U edition, these games don't take only a year or less to develop.. most of this stuff like the Wii U version of the story mode, was in development well before Microsoft took them over.. but all of this is not considering that Minecraft has sold over 100 million copies and is still doing well, it's an anomaly really.. they're doing this because they own Windows 10 and are trying desperately to get people to use it.. Quantum Break apparently sold poorly and that still got put on PC.. they're doing this to get Windows 10 adoption faster.
