@iandizion713: this is referencing cross play that Microsoft does in putting games on the PC. This has nothing to do with cross play between consoles, Sony already technically does that, since games like Final Fantasy XIV share servers with the PS3, PC, and Mac versions. This is why Xbox One never got the game.
@alaannn: agreed, but to think that should happen while they are still making and producing their own consoles to sell is just not gonna happen.. I agree though, I do think they should consider that one day, especially if their next console fails to sell well too.
@iandizion713: yeah, that's why I was focusing that response on what you said about Vita & PS4 lol.. but it's not like Microsoft puts anything else on Nintendo or Sony consoles, this was already a multi-platform game long beforehand. Wii U is literally the only platform aside from Windows (and of course they did Windows first) that didn't have Minecraft before the acquisition. The real judge of how much they care about gamers would be is if they make a Minecraft 2 one day.
@iandizion713: no, Microsoft didn't put Minecraft on Vita, it came out on Vita before the Microsoft acquisition was even complete, so it was in the works long before that. That's also the case with PS4. Not really Wii U, but they bought Mojang because it was already making great money on every platform. They didn't acquire Mojang and then decide to make it multiplatform. The only version that came out after their acquisition aside from Wii U is a Windows 10 and Windows Mobile version, not surprisingly. But, not everything can just be for the gamers, because if that's the case, Nintendo should be putting Zelda on the PS4 and Microsoft should put Halo 5 on the Wii U just for the few gamers that would buy it lol
why in the world would anyone expect Sony to put games on the PC? do people really not know that the same company that makes the Xbox owns the operating system on the PC that they're desperately trying to push right now? lol
