Eh, no big deal. I think the Virgin of Guadalupe > Ayers. At least she's never plotted against America.jubinoNo she protects America. She is the Patroness of America.

This will be the first U.S. election in which 2 high ranking Vatican officials will be eligible to vote. I'm talking about The Prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, William Cardinal Levada (former archbishop of San Francisco) and Archbishop Raymond Burke, the head of the Supreme Tribunal of the Apostolic Signature and head of the Vatican bar, (formerly Archbishop of St. Louis).
Hmm. I wonder who they'll vote for, or if they'll bother to vote at all.
[QUOTE="Jaysonguy"][QUOTE="jubino"][QUOTE="Jaysonguy"][QUOTE="jubino"][QUOTE="Jaysonguy"]Jesus Christ is for Obama?
Well, I don't think you can do much better then that.

Maybe before he decided to support baby killing. I don't think the Catholic church would've been down for that.
That's Jesus saying it's right
Jesus Christ pretty much sets down all the rules. If he's for Obama then Obama must be right also.
Yeah, but at the time he wasn't a baby killer. I doubt ol Obama would even dare to ask for their support anymore.
Jesus Christ knows what Obama will choose. We are simply living our lives as Jesus sees
So therefore Jesus Christ knew what would happen in Obama's life and he supported him anyway.
Jesus Christ is on the side of Obama
Very insightful. That is true, but there's one problem. Jesus doesn't run the Catholic church. The pope runs it, and even though he's at the top, I doubt it ever made it that far.
No, not too many people knew about it, not even any of the Bishops. And yes Jesus does run the Catholic Church, who do you think tells the Pope what to do?No, it's not Joe the Plumber. It's the Lady of Guadalupe. Hmm, she has been credited for the Victories at Czestochowa (Poles defeated the Swiss invaders) and Lepanto (Holy League defeats Ottoman Empire), now McCain's hoping she'll aid him against Obama.
Interesting, eh?
Not Obama's campaign. But in the 1980s the Catholic Campaign for Human Development funded a group that was headed by Obama. They also funded ACORN, but now they have stopped funding ACORN as the Vatican is urging Bishop's to crackdown on such activities.
shocking, no?
Bishop Joseph Finn recently wrote about the Church Militant. Basically the goal of the Church militant is to get to Heaven, and to get other's to go to Heaven. Militant refers to Spiritual warfare against the Devil (as the Bishop explains Christians should fight with love, and not resort to violence).
Your thoughts? Is militant a bad word to use in modern times (especially considering the war on terror).
Is the Church militant fighting against Planned Parenthood which recieves federal tax money even after a nurse admitted to killing already born babies?
Apparently Obama's primetime add falsely reported some statistics when it comes to the budget. Here's a snippet:
"
A sampling of what voters heard in the ad, and what he didn't tell them:
THE SPIN: "That's why my health care plan includes improving information technology, requires coverage for preventive care and pre-existing conditions and lowers health care costs for the typical family by $2,500 a year."
THE FACTS: His plan does not lower premiums by $2,500, or any set amount. Obama hopes that by spending $50 billion over five years on electronic medical records and by improving access to proven disease management programs, among other steps, consumers will end up saving money. He uses an optimistic analysis to suggest cost reductions in national health care spending could amount to the equivalent of $2,500 for a family of four. Many economists are skeptical those savings can be achieved, but even if they are, it's not a certainty that every dollar would be passed on to consumers in the form of lower premiums.
___
THE SPIN: "I also believe every American has a right to affordable health care."
THE FACTS: That belief should not be confused with a guarantee of health coverage for all. He makes no such promise. Obama hinted as much in the ad when he said about the problem of the uninsured: "I want to start doing something about it." He would mandate coverage for children but not adults. His program is aimed at making insurance more affordable by offering the choice of government-subsidized coverage similar to that in a plan for federal employees and other steps, including requiring larger employers to share costs of insuring workers.
___
THE SPIN: "I've offered spending cuts above and beyond their cost."
THE FACTS: Independent analysts say both Obama and Republican John McCain would deepen the deficit. The nonpartisan Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget estimates Obama's policy proposals would add a net $428 billion to the deficit over four years - and that analysis accepts the savings he claims from spending cuts. The nonpartisan Tax Policy Center, whose other findings have been quoted approvingly by the Obama campaign, says: "Both John McCain and Barack Obama have proposed tax plans that would substantially increase the national debt over the next 10 years." The analysis goes on to say: "Neither candidate's plan would significantly increase economic growth unless offset by spending cuts or tax increases that the campaigns have not specified."
You get the sense that hope is coming through the infomercial. Anyone else feel this way?HardcoreGamer84hate to break it to you, but the infomercial was dishonest
Yes the Vice president of the state division of Planned Parenthood is bringing her propaganda to a speech at my school. It is a state run school.
Anyone else agree that people representing organizations that have been accused of racism shouldn't be applauded by government institutions.
Have you ever had the evil empire present at your school?
