I actually didn't manage to finish it. I got tired of climbing stuff. I'd give it an 8.5.

It's a good game. It's fun. But the bugs are a HUGE problem. They're releasing another patch on tuesday though, and a huge patch before the end of this month. I'd wait at least until after the 1.1 patch to get it. See if they fix the issues. It's very frustrating, because you can tell that there's a really fun strategy game underneath those issues.
I love the kevin butler commercials. But just to clarify, you guys do realize that the commercials are written by a copywriter at some ad agency with Sony as a client, and the guy playing kevin butler is just an actor, right?
I agree. I couldn't even get through the demo on the first playthrough. The atmosphere is perfect. I don't even know why I bought the game, because I really don't think I'm going to be able to finish it. It's just too intense for my overactive imagination.
[QUOTE="JonSnow777"]Probably does. Play some Age of Wonders 2 to see what Elemental could have been.Wow. It's weird that the only TBS game that I really have fun with in a long time gets a 4.0 from gamespot. Does that say I have bad taste in games, or what?

I played Age of Wonders 2 when it came out back in the day. It was good. I like Elemental too, though.
I'm surprised anyone hyped this after its awful launch and handling of said launch by the company.

What are you talking about? The company is doing a great job of handling it! They admitted that the game was released in a terrible state, and now they're committing themselves to patching it until it's the best game it can be. They've actually stated that they're not going to work on another game for the next year just so they can continue updating Elemental with patches and expansion content (that will be free with the patches). A new patch was released today, even.
Infamous is a lot of fun. I think it has a better climbing system than most games that focus mainly on climbing.
