Congrats mate, a fine choice.

Personally I only got my PS3 about 6 weeks ago and since then, my 360 hasn't even been turned on. Not dissing the 360 by any stretch, it's as great console, but there's just nothing on it currently that is holding my interest...Anyway...I digress....

I've got around 7 or so games for my PS3 so far, but it's Killzone 2 that I keep going back to. Played a small portion of the campaign and have put around 40 hours or so into the online side of things. Unlocked all classes and just need to work on the additional perks for them all. Anyway, feel free to add me if you like :)

Return to Castle Wolfenstein on the original Xbox. Brilliant, brilliant game.

Not sure what I'd rate it now tbh. I'm pretty sure it's backwards compatible with the 360, but I think I'd rather have good memories of it and leave it at that. Not sure I'd want to buy it again and compare it to what I have now on 360 and PS3!

I literally hadn't played it in over a year, then dusted it off the other day and have been playing in pretty much every day since.

Absence most certainly makes the heart grow fonder; I forgot just how good this game is, absolutely love the Theatre and the way you can view games afterwards to clear up those "WTF?!" moments. It'd be great if this was implemented into other FPS games in the future.

Is it the best game on 360 so far? It certainly has a lot of plus points, but I find it hard to say this the best 360 game so far....There's so many good games on the 360, I don't think I could say that there is one that stands out as overall better than the rest.

Great post, subrosian.

Lost count of the amount of times I've played the demo (must be around 30) and I'm still finding new loot.

Anyhoo, really looking forward to the full game, roll on the 29th!...(Yes, I'm in the UK)..... Booooo-urns.
EA has confirmed the price for Rock Band, following the European date announcement this morning.

Europe, unlike the US, will not get all of the instruments bundled together with the game.

Instead, you will have to fork out for an Instrument Edition at GBP 129.99 / EUR 169 - comprised of the drum kit, guitar and microphone - then buy the game separately for GBP 49.99 / EUR 69.99.

Anyone after the whole lot will be looking at a total of GBP 180 / EUR 240, then. That's rather more than in the US, where you can buy the game and all the instruments for USD 169 - equivalent to around GBP 85 / EUR 107
Absolutely disgraceful. Surely there can't be ANY justification from EA as to why the UK price is so different from the US one?

As with all games with a great atmosphere, a LOT of exactly how atmospheric and immersive it is depends on your set up/when you're playing etc.

Playing on your own, at night, in the dark, on a big screen tv with your 5.1 set up cranked up is how games like this are meant to be played. Playing this way makes pretty much any game more atmospheric and immersive, let alone horror games.
