I just don't think it is really contributing much to the industry.

MS is making amazing online services, IPTV, DLC, etc.

And Nintendo brings a lot to the table as well for obvious reasons

true...but most devs now are developing for systems like the ps3 and the 360 and dont want to be held back.

I love the wii and all, but it's no denying that the graphics it can produce wont be anything amazing. Im sure there will be good looking games, but not to some standards. 

You know 600 bucks really isn't that bad when you think about it. It's a blu ray player, and you get your wifi adapter included and such. But it really hit me earlier how much 600 dollars really is.

You see my GF is graduating from our college this semester and her parents are going to buy her a trip after graduation. I'm invited but of course I'm paying my way for most of it. So we settled o n a cruise. We looked at prices for a 6-7 night western carribean cruise, and guess what 600 bucks.

So for the price of just the PS3 hardware, is as much as a 7 night cruise to the western carribean, and thats the interior room.

Then it hit me, who would pay 600 dollars just for the system to play games when they could go on a cruise for the same price! Comon guys SW cruise!

This game may look alright, but I really only care about gameplay. I'd could go get eragon and im sure it'd play the same.

But then again, I may be wrong. Just the game looks amazingly uninteresting.

thats because u learned from MS that graphics are all about textures and got nothing to do with animation, physics, geometry, etc....

You would need at least four x360's working in sli mode to pull off the calculations that are happaning in Lair during gameplay.
