no it doesn not have the new "tech stigma" to it at all, its a freaking dvd upscaler, thats it. it plays games on basic dvds, it has a sliding disctray, (oh u can DL movies and tv shows onto it cool) but only with a subscription

if anything its a suped up white ps2!

Very good point maybe hardcore and casuals say why get a 360 when the really good games (Geow, Halo3 etc) will be out on pc eventually. Ms needs to leave 360 games exclusive to 360 and try to not let the two platforms blend into one.

MS still makes the money for both. either way it's a Microsoft exlcusive.

People want to play the games now, not in a few years like in Halo's case. games that are on the 360 that are also on the pc wont make a huge difference in total sales. I think people just wanted to see how the PS3 and Wii were before they bought a 360. I expect sales for all systems to spike considerably this holiday and in 08 it just matters who's sales will spike the highest.

i've been wanting one for a while now, but i'm holding off until they produce them with the smaller chip. my understanding is that this will solve the 3 rings problem. i'm guessing that there are a lot of people out there that are thinking the same thing. i will definitely be buying one though.Fumpa

and yes, it will reduce over heating considerably, AND it will be cheaper, thus a price drop.

and in late 08 to early 09 they are releasing an even smaller chip, aka even cheaper console.

i still think it will be on the 360, i mean OXM had a pretty big article on it a while back.
